Another patient with BLOOD PARASITISM.

Kobe was brought to clinic due to profuse nosebleeding.

Several tests were conducted to rule out what was causing it and to check the severity of the problem. He tested positive to Anaplasma, Babesia and Ehrlichia.

Blood parasites are transmitted thru infected ticks or garapata.

Severe cases of blood parasite infection require blood transfusion due to severe anemia and very low platelet count.

Medication was given and he responded well to it.

‼️PREVENTION OF TICKS IS PREVENTION OF BLOOD PARASITES‼️

Our dogs should receive regular and routine anti-tick and flea treatment and prevention.

Ask your vet about it.
