In celebration of the World Rabies Day, Animal Welfare Week, and World Animal Day, the CBSUA College of Veterinary Medicine will have its activity entitled: PAAAWmazing Project (Precise Rabies Education, Awareness, Appreciation, and Animal Welfare Promotion).

In the pursuit of its goal, the College will spearhead a Veterinary Medical Mission tomorrow, October 7 (Friday) 9AM to 4PM at CBSUA-CVM Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Today is World Veterinary Day & the month of April is Animal Cruelty prevention month — but sadly, animal cruelty hasn’t stop and cases continue to rise everyday.

This cat with 2nd degree burn, apparently caused by splashing of boiling water, was brought to our clinic today. To see a cat suffer appalling injuries from cruel people is disheartening. Tao pa ba tayo nito? No person in their right mind would intentionally do this and NO ANIMAL DESERVES MALTREATMENT!

We are grateful for the Heart of Paws Naga for their untiring efforts in rescuing abused & voiceless creatures. Dios mabalos po saindo!

We have been seeing a continued surge in CPV (Canine Parvovirus) and CDV (Canine Distemper Virus) cases in Metro Naga area recently. Please make sure that your dogs’ vaccines are all up to date. There is no rea*on whatsoever why a pet should succumb to a completely preventable disease. Let us be responsible animal caretakers. 🙏 These viral diseases are highly contagious and can be fatal, even if treated. Your best defenses are vaccination. Please take this post seriously and please, please, have your pets vaccinated.

Right Eye Proptosis |

Choco was brought to our clinic with a right eye protruded and excessively bleeding as a result of dog fight. 👁 This condition requires urgent medical attention to relieve eye infection and save the eye from total removal. We performed temporary tarsorrhapy (temporary closure of the eye) and he was sent home after the procedure. His sutures were removed 1 week after. He is now fine and currently continuing his medications. 🥰
