Another day, another patient.

Ailments: Difficult to p*e, limping right hind leg, and aching lower extremities

Thankfully, no fractures or abdominal stones seen based on x-ray but found developing viral infection thru blood test. Prescribed meds and hopefully will not lead to catheterization.

Caramel and Patches are sick and have a fever.

CBC was done and developing viral infection. :(
The rest of the cats were separated and will be monitored too.

Another visit to our partner sanctuary today. Brought them 10 bags of 20kg dog food and a bag of 20kg cat food.

FYI. This sanctuary houses 2,000+ dogs and hundreds of cats. What we brought them is not even half of what they need to give 1 serving to each dog hence we will be grateful if you can help them too. :)

Our visit may have been quick but the mission to give has been accomplished.

Another night drive, another abandoned kitten on the road.
Meet Patches!

Rescued a few mins ago, we now have a total of 3 new kittens in 3 days time. Same as Oreo & Caramel, she almost got hit by an electric vehicle when she tried to cross the road.

New member of the Kalye family! Super cuddly despite her skin condition, eye problem, and hind leg injury. Hopefully, we can find medicine drops for your skin disease.

For now, she stays either in the open space at the back of the house or at the garage depending on her mood. Once cleread from disease, she will get along with BlackFace and our other outdoor cats.

YESTERDAY

Yesterday, we were blessed to visit our partner sanctuary again after almost 4 months. With some donations and personal money, we handed seven (7) 20kg-bags of dog food, two (2) 20kg-bags of cat food, thirty (30) kilos of detergent powder, and loafs of bread with PB spread for the hardworking caretakers' merienda.

Without wasting any time, we played with some free roaming dogs, visited caged dogs (in medication), and gave belly rubs to hundred cats of different breeds and colors.

For everyone's awareness, what we gave is only a portion of what they need to serve a single meal to each dog. Approximately, it requires more or less 30 20kg-bags each meal to feed the strays and they are barely making it and they seriously need our help to sustain the mission.

Please continue to support groups that aid the strays; MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary, Kalye Kalinga PH are only a few of the names in this mission.

Hi Nicky!

We rescued Nicky exactly 3 weeks ago today and here she is now, the deep wound from her tight collar is now almost healed with few scabs left. She is still a little timid though but recovering positively.

Once healed and spayed, she will join the gala (free roaming) babies. Hope she gets even better the soonest.

Another day, another heartbreaking situation. :( An hour ago, you were playing, eating, and meowing like your usual; next thing we know is that you can no longer stand and now gone. Chase's rescue journey tells us how our lives are so unpredictable therefore always make everything counts.

Our Chase, you are in a happy place now, full of love, and free from being abandoned again. Play and eat a lot there! Until we meet again. 😭☹️

Rescued: Aug. 17, 2024

Another day, another rescued cat from the side of the road. We found her yesterday while on our way home chasing two (2) joggers along a bypass road in Tanza, Cavite; the joggers were not aware that they were being followed. Maybe due to tiredness, she stopped the chase as they ran fast and looked confused on where to go next.

With her current condition, there is no chance of survival. We stopped, and observed if the joggers would pick her up but to no avail - we immediately took her in, placed her in a laptop box, gave her a quick bath, removed a few fleas, and she's now in much better space.

Say hello to Lilitu! 🐱🐾
Rescued: Aug. 12, 2024 (Official)

Lilitu is an abandoned kitten we first found on the roadside, she was thin and there were obvious signs of skin disease. Brought her to the vet for the laboratory, it was determined that she has infection and ear mites and was given medicines and vitamins.

Let us welcome her to the Kalye Kalinga PH family! Hope she gets better the soonest.

Another neglected dog around the neighborhood, outgrown tight collar causing a deep open wound on the neck of this poor dog. We will coordinate a rescue for you - hang on.
