Those who say that SDN has "too much protein" need to get their facts straight.

Fact: SDN DOES NOT HAVE "TOO MUCH PROTEIN".

The AMOUNT you feed your dog will determine the amount of protein (measured in grams) your dog eats, not the percentage in the food formula.

Ex.
SCENARIO A
A scenario where SDN has MORE PROTEIN.
1kg SDN (42% protein) = 420grams protein
1kg BRAND X (21% protein)= 210grams protein.

SCENARIO B
A scenario where SDN has the SAME AMOUNT OF PROTEIN as a brand with 21% protein.
1kg SDN (42% protein) = 420grams protein
2kg BRAND X (21% protein)= 420grams protein.

SCENARIO C
A scenario where SDN has LESS PROTEIN.
500g SDN (42% protein) = 210grams protein
2kg BRAND X (21% protein)= 420grams protein.

Get this:

The reason other dogfoods have less protein percentage is because they put a big percentage of junk plant materials, starchy grains: corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, oats, barley, beet, peas, etc. To lessen their costs and jack up their profits.

Why are the bashers making an issue just because we took away the JUNK??? 😅😅😅💕💪 Would they rather have the trashy extenders to lessen the percentage protein? They can go ahead, be my guest. But as for us, we don't like fooling ourselves. 😁💕

Simple maths.

Our Official Feeding Guide Poster for SDN 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️👨‍🔬👩‍🔬

There have been feeding guide posters going around made by a few of our creative dealers (thanks, guys!), teaching us to feed 1-3% of your dog or puppy's ideal bodyweight. 🐶🐕🐩

That info is true! 1% for pet dogs, 3% for dogs that work several hours a day like our K9s. However, some who feed 2-3% experience soft p**p, because their dogs do not need that amount of nutrition except to grow fat and plump as many want their dogs to look, except obese is not healthy, and so we don't recommend it.

So, here's our official feeding guide for pet housedogs. 😊💕

You do not need to give any sort of nutritional supplement or flavor enhancer when you feed SDN. It might even cause an imbalance to the optimal nutritional levels in the formula, or create excessive dose toxicities such as in the case of vitamin E hypervitaminosis. We've done all the work for you, and all the amino acids, vitamins, minerals, omegas, prebiotics, probiotics, etc. are already in every bit of SDN, so you won't have to worry. 😊💕

Since SDN is great for our Superdogs, it should be more than great for your pet dog, whatever his breed or age is! And it is. 😊💕💪💪💪👍👍👍

BIGGER/DARKER/HARDER KIBBLES ON SDN? 🐕🐩

There have been some people concerned about the new batches of SDN having seemingly "bigger" or "darker" or "more easily soluble" kibbles than older batches.

While it is true that some enterprising individuals might be selling cheaper brand dogfoods as "repacked SDN" (which is why we recommend that you only buy authentic SDN in the original glamorous white 5kg or 15kg sack packaging or the pretty 500g packs from legit sellers listed in our website's Store Locator Map), another reason this may happen is that the some kibbles might have been stored or exposed in a warm environment, which had already caused its moisture to escape, especially if it had been subjected to it for longer periods of time, like near a window or a hot bodega. 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌡🌡🌡🌡🌡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Take note that the label on SDN indicates that it has a maximum of 10% moisture. When this water content has evaporated, it leaves a dryer, somewhat smaller kibble. Just as rice exposed to warm air also shrinks due to the escape of stored moisture in it. 💧💧💧

Shrinkage due to escaped moisture does not significantly affect the SDN's quality. It might, however, alter the color a little bit, as well as the density of the remaining ingredients/nutrients, and consequently the crunchiness/hardness of the kibbles and ease at which it will be softened by soaking in water, if that's how you feed your dogs.

Reminder:
Store your SDN in a cool ❄❄❄ (less than 30°C) and dry place to keep it's freshness longer. Transport it, if needed, during the cooler parts of the day as much as possible, or in air-conditioned vehicles. 🏍🛺🚲🚐🚌🚝🚚 Keep it away from direct sunlight for long periods also to avoid denaturing the vitamins and killing the good bacteria in the probiotic coats. 🦠🦠🦠
