The first two of the of the six Bulgarian Murrah
Buffaloes (dairy carabao) arrived at the Philippine Carabao Center in USM (University of Southern
Mindanao) at Kabakan, North Cotabato for artificial insemination. If successful, they will be delivered to Felicidad Orchard in three months time.
Felicidad Orchard is a recipient of SciCAT (Science in Convergence with Agriculture and Tourism) grants from Dept of Science and Technology.
Thank you Director Benjamin Basilio and Dr Virgilio Lopez of PCC, PD Nabil Hadji Yassin of DOST 12 to make this happen.

Organic breakfast today all from the farm:
Fruits- papaya, pomelo and langka
Salad- romaine, curly green, curly red-green, arugula, japanese cucumber and creamy herb dressing.
Viand -grilled pork baby ribs and fried eggs, steamed black rice (not in picture) and dried cat claw tea leaves.

TINDOK (Musa paradisiaka var. magna actually plantain and the biggest in terms of fruit size among Philippine bananas. It is best when cooked.
It is one of Felicidad Orchards's 12 varieties of banana in the farm....

COCKSPUR CORAL TREE / CEIBO TREE (Erythrina crista-galli) in bloom at Felicidad Orchard.
This beautiful small tree native to South America is widely used for landscaping.
The flowers are rich in nectar and are visited by insects.
