National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS) The official page of the National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS).

A non-government organization lead by veterinary student leaders across the Philippines. "The National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS) is an initiative to gather veterinary students studying in both private and state universities from across the Philippines. The Congress aims to provide a venue for veterinary student leaders to communicate and unite in honor of the veterinary prof

ession, to acquire and share knowledge among veterinary students, to develop the potential of its members, to promote camaraderie and good ties among future colleagues, and to create a network of earnest future veterinarians for upholding the veterinary profession. It will also be a way of reforming the social meaning of the veterinary profession as it continually faces challenges in education, research, career paths and over- all positive recognition in the country."

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 that for the first time in NCVMS history, the National Director was elected from the 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀?

This milestone was made possible by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗮 of 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗖𝗧𝗨), who proudly represented the Visayan region on the national stage. Her leadership marked a historic step in widening the reach of the congress, strengthening unity across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

In celebration of its two decades, 20 years in the service of veterinary medicine, the congress carried the theme: “𝘒𝘶𝘺𝘰𝘨 𝘛𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘪: 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨-𝘜𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘐𝘴𝘭𝘢 𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘢.”

Every story, every leader, and every milestone adds to the living history of NCVMS, a legacy built in the service of veterinary medicine students nationwide. 🤍🩵💙

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 that every NCVMS celebration is special? However, the 8th NCVMS made history as the very first congress held in 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼. This was also the same congress that introduced the NCVMS Official Theme Song, “𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘗𝘶𝘴𝘰,”which continues to be listened to and enjoyed every year up to this day!

Mindanao has also produced five National Directors for the NCVMS, namely:

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼 from Central Mindanao University (CMU) during the 8th NCVMS

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗮 from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) during the 11th NCVMS

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗰𝗼 from Central Mindanao University (CMU) during the 14th NCVMS

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗼 from University of Southern Mindanao during the 19th NCVMS

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀 from Central Mindanao University (CMU) during the 21st NCVMS

Each of these National Directors brought honor and pride not only to the congress but also to their respective universities, and ultimately, to Mindanao.

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 that for the first five years of the NCVMS (2005–2009), the congress was hosted by the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)? They established a standard for how the congress should be structured and celebrated.

In 2010, during the 6th NCVMS, the congress was held outside UPLB for the very first time. That year, the honor was extended to De La Salle Araneta University. This symbolized the beginning of a new tradition of the congress being celebrated in various schools nationwide.

That year marked the first step toward strengthening the tradition and the spirit behind the congress. Every year since then, the NCVMS has been hosted by various universities, passing on the torch of raising the standards for this celebration while honoring the very heart and purpose of the congress.

For its 22nd Congress, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) takes pride in being this year’s host, bringing together veterinary medicine students from across the country. 🤍🩵💙

𝘿𝙄𝘿 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 that back in 2005, the very first National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS) was held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)?

Thanks to the vision of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼, together with 𝗗𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀 and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗗𝗝 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘆, the congress was born with the theme: “𝘋𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘝𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦, 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘝𝘦𝘵𝘴.” It was here that the first-ever NCVMS Executive Officers were elected, laying the foundation for a strong community of veterinary medicine students across the Philippines.

From that single step in 2005 grew a tradition that has touched countless lives, empowering students to lead, to connect, and to dream beyond limits.

Because NCVMS goes beyond just a congress.
It’s a legacy.
It’s a home.
And with every heartbeat, we build a history 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 🤍🩵💙

𝗡𝗖𝗩𝗠𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱
On July 28, 2025, the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗡𝗖𝗩𝗠𝗦) came together for a meaningful Donation Drive in Poblacion H, Camiling, Tarlac to support families affected by Bagyong Crising and Habagat.

We were honored to be joined by dedicated volunteers from 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗰 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲, representing organizations such as the 𝗖𝗩𝗠 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, 𝗩𝗞𝗩-𝗩𝗟𝗩, 𝗩𝗦𝗔𝗦, and 𝗥𝗖, as well as students who volunteered independently outside of any organization.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this outreach possible, from our fellow students and donors (both monetary and in-kind) to the community members who welcomed us warmly. God bless your hearts and may you continue to be instruments of kindness in times of need.

A heartfelt thank you as well to the Barangay officials and employees, especially 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗿 and 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻, for their support and partnership in facilitating this initiative.

To all those affected by Bagyong Crising, our hearts are with you. We know that the road to recovery is not easy, but please remember: you are not alone. As veterinary medicine students, we may be trained to care for animals, but our compassion extends to every life—human or animal in need.

In times of disaster, our commitment goes beyond animal care; it extends to the communities we serve. Because 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹.

Para sa komunidad at para sa bayan. 💙🩵🤍
