As the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 marks its week-long 𝟰𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 from 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬–𝟭𝟰, 𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥 proudly takes part in the festivities, promoting active student involvement, and upholding its core values: Professionalism, Excellence, and Brotherhood. From contributing to key activities and supporting student engagement to helping sustain the spirit of camaraderie throughout the week, SAVER remains committed to strengthening the CVM community.

USM SAVER participated in the celebrations, joining activities like the 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿, 𝗭𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵, 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, and 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and co-organized 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗼 with the Rodeo Club — USM Chapter. These activities provided a meaningful platform for active involvement within the CVM community.

As the celebration concludes, USM SAVER extends its gratitude to everyone who took part and supported the activities that made this anniversary meaningful and memorable. As the 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙤 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙑𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙚 (𝙐𝙎𝙈 𝘾𝙑𝙈) celebrates its 44𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮, 𝙐𝙎𝙈 𝙎𝘼𝙑𝙀𝙍 proudly contributed to this milestone through Debaterinaryo, a debate event that embodies the spirit of critical thinking, unity, and scholarly engagement within the CVM community.

Held at the 𝘾𝙑𝙈 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜, and organized in partnership with the 𝙍𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 – 𝙐𝙎𝙈 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧, Debaterinaryo provided a dynamic platform for reasoned dialogue and thoughtful argumentation. The 𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 (𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗥) successfully conducted the 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 on November 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at VM 24, College of Veterinary Medicine.

After a long hiatus, the contest made its comeback, with a total of 12 teams composed of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technology students competed to test their knowledge in Parasitology

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘁𝘀, composed of Roniel Orion, Joshua Noble, and Gene Paul Yumang, emerged as the Champion and the new reigning Parasit Champ. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝗸: Reanna Pascua, Qie Marie Casiple, and CJ Grace Frigillana secured the 1st Runner-Up, while 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘀: Kassandra Esteves, Gela Labajo, and Erika Barri placed as 2nd Runner-Up.

The event was organized by the Education and Research Committee headed by Sis Kristina De Luna, with the support of the Grand Council led by Grand SAVER Sis Abbygail Castillo. Appreciation was extended to the SAVER Advisers: Dr. Jan Clyden B. Tenorio, Dr. Khan L. Junatas, Dr. Elsa A. Gonzaga, and Dr. Rolando J. Garduque for their guidance, and to the Resident Members for their commitment in making the event possible.

As part of the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the USM Society for the Advancement of Veterinary Education and Research (SAVER), the organization donated two air conditioning units to the USM College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM).

The donation was received by Dr. Elizabeth Molina, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Dr. Josephine Flores, CVM's College Research Coordinator. The activity was carried out under the guidance of the SAVER Advisers Dr. Elsa A. Gonzaga, Dr. Ronaldo J. Garduque, Dr. Khan L. Junatas, and Dr. Jan Clyden B. Tenorio.

The initiative was made possible through the generosity of the USM SAVER Alumni, headed by the USM Alumni Grand SAVER, Dr. Leizle Funa-Fernandez. Gratitude is also extended to the Alumni Grand Council, the Grand Council led by Sis Abbygail Castillo (Grand SAVER), Sis Ricci Somosot (Vice Grand SAVER-External), Brod Jon Michael Faulve (Vice Grand SAVER-Internal), and the Resident Members.

This act of generosity serves as a meaningful way for the organization to give back to its home, the USM College of Veterinary Medicine.

The event, headed by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴, a proud SAVER alumna, brought together pet owners in a shared effort to promote community awareness on responsible pet care.

The event provided veterinary services, including the administration of anti-rabies vaccines, deworming, and distribution of vitamins. Pet owners also received dog and cat food, as well as pet hygiene items such as shampoo and soap. The activity fostered greater community involvement in caring for and protecting the welfare of animals.

USM SAVER’s participation in the activity underscores its continuing mission to advance veterinary medicine and promote animal health through community involvement and outreach. The organization expresses its gratitude for the opportunity to promote animal healthcare and emphasizes the importance of responsible pet ownership.
