This is Budoy, a 11 year old mixed breed dog.
Upon check up, from the outside it can be seen that he has an unusual size for a p***s, and then as I examined inside, I saw a tumor coming out from the prepuce, this is what you called TVT.
So ano nga ba ang TVT?
TVT / transmissible venereal tumors are a transmissible cancer that affects dogs. TVT’s are cauliflower-like, pedunculated, nodular, papillary, or multilobulated in appearance. It can spread by the transfer of living cancer cells between dogs, direct contact or through mating. They may be transplanted to adjacent skin and oral, nasal, or conjunctival mucosa. TVT can be treated by complete surgical excision, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy; however, chemotherapy is considered the treatment of choice.
A friendly reminder: Para po maiwasan na mahawahan ang inyong mga alagang a*o, huwag ninyo pong hayaan silang makalabas ng inyong mga bakuran.
