Hi Furparents! Recently, one of our customers got scammed thru maxim fortunately we got the money back but for the awareness of everyone here's what happened; customer ordered 1 sack adult worth 1580 for COD and as what we always do upon booking we input the details(product to pick up, COD amount and receiver's contact details) in the notes section of the app. For context, we input the contact of the receiver since most maxim riders don't accept COD bookings without receiver's contact details since there's also incident before of sellers scamming riders of COD orders. I updated the customer that I already booked the order and still searching for rider but the booking was never accepted. After almost 30 minutesof trying the customer messaged me that he already sent the payment thru gcash and sent a receipt. Upon checking the gcash number was not mine and confused where he got the number since my last msg was the update regarding the booking. Asked him where he got the number and he shared the screenshot below. The scammer used all info in the maxim app(my name was registered in the app) to ask money from the customer. For context again, riders can see the notes section in their app before they can accept bookings.
This is a reminder to everyone that we will never use a different number to contact you aside from our official business number 09499971015 and will never ask you to send gcash on a different number.

To avoid this from happening again we highly encourage our furparents to choose our other options for mode of payment(BDO, BPI, Maya, GCash) upon ordering instead of COD.
As a seller we also did our part to be more cautious to avoid this from happening again. We still accept COD orders but expect longer time of bookings to be accepted as we don't input the details anymore in the app instead we provide it after the item is picked up.
