We are glad to be a part this educational drive to instill the values of Responsible Pet Ownership for Junior High School Students conducted at Prado Siongco High School! We believe that the prosperity of a nation is the result of the efforts of its own citizens. We are glad to be a part of the process of molding our students into compassionate and productive citizens of our community.

We hope to see all of them achieve success and it would be specially gratifying to see some of them as future veterinarians and other members of our agricultural community.

We would like to thank our own volunteer veterinarian, Doc Cris Gabriel for his support as well as Canis Prime Adult Dog Food for their products. We also would like to thank the Lubao Municipal Agricultural Office in particular, Sir Perry Roque and Sir John Mc Neil San Juan for their support! We also thank Ma'am Jasmin Santos-Manlutac, DVM for her talk regarding Rabies Awareness & Rabies Vaccination!

We're happy to welcome our latest pair of rescues, Pochi the Belgian and Poi-poi the Shih Tzu!

Pochi was brought to our attention by Ma'am Andrhea May Susi Castillo who requested help in having him rehomed because her original owners can no longer take care of her.

Fortunately, at the same time, Sir Otilegna Nozar, was looking for a dog that can improve the security of his farm while they walk across its environs and Pochi, being a Belgian, is exceptionally suited for this role.

Sir Angelito Razon is an expert wildlife trainer with experience training lions, tigers, orangutans, cats and dogs. We are confident that both Sir Angelito and Pochi will enjoy an active and engaging life together! We are very happy for them both!

While picking up Pochi, Sir Angelito also noticed that Poi-poi, the Shi Tzu, also appeared neglected and so asked if the owners wanted him brought to the shelter for care and attention. They agreed.

We are now grooming and feeding Poi-poi. We would also like to issue a call for assistance if anyone wants to sponsor Poi-poi's medication so he can be brought back to good health as soon as possible.

We would also like to remind our fur furrents our stand that taking care of a pet is a lifetime commitment and that our fur pals deserve the security of a stable, loving home! Our Fur Pals only live a tiny fraction of the length of our own lives so we must cherish the time we have with them.

When adopting, we must consider the behavior of the Fur Pal we want to bond with and make sure that the environment we can provide matches them. Big dogs need bigger spaces and can go on longer walks.

We need to do this right the first time since our Fur Pals experience anxiety much like a human child would during a rehoming process. We need to keep this to a minimum as much as possible if not eliminate it entirely.

Our Fur Pals are also God's Creations and they deserve the best lives we can give them. They are not disposable toys.

We'll try our best to give them the love and attention at our shelter but there simply is no substitute for having their own warm and loving family.

Today, we were visited by members of the Municipal Agricultural Office to discuss a proposed educational campaign for students to teach responsible pet ownership.

We would like to thank Mayora Esmeralda G. Pineda, the Municipal Agricultural Office and Ma'am Edith Bernal for helping and supporting us in our advocacy to prevent the spread of rabies and to help animals in need.
