Ang TULAY NA BUSOG ay matatagpuan sa lobo batangas. Hindi siya tulay subalit pinangalan siyang tulay sapagkat “nanunulay” ka papunta sa kabilang ilog.
Dulot ng pandemia, ang balsa na sinakyan namin ay tagpi-tagpi na kaya mag ingat kung balak nyong umakay dito.
Natuwa ako na ang aking 2 ido ay naka tawid sa ilog ng tulay na busog

👉🏾looc island occidental mindoro experience👈🏾

On february 25, 2023, we decided to visit GOLO ISLAND or as local would call her tanaotao island.
The route to GOLO ISLAND is thru agcawayan port which is at least 30mins ride from our accomodation in lubang.
This trip was made possible by the Local Government of Looc specially, the Office of the Mayor and the very hospitable staffs and crews of the Tourism Office of Looc.
The trip to GOLO ISLAND was by a huge 2 enginee banka with a captain and three crew members. The 2hour ride came with strong waves and hot sun.
Upon arriving in GOLO ISLAND, we paid a courtesy visit to the barangay captain. The locals in the island is at least 1,200 people with fishing as their livelihood. We then proceeded to the dropoff point of a beautiful lighthouse in GOLO ISLAND. The trek to GOLO LIGHTHOUSE comes with a surprise visit besides the wonderful and peaceful beach of tanaotao island. More or less,the entire trek would be 20mins to reach the lighthouse. Upon reaching the lighthouse, you can witness the breathtaking view of the entire island including oriental mindoro.
After GOLO ISLAND, we ate lunch in the banka prepared by our captain= salamat! We then proceeded to AMBIL ISLAND which is less than 2hrs. Our captain brought us to the famous BALABARA BEACH. The beach is a hidden gem that looc must cultivate and promote to the world. Among the beaches i have been to, i can easily consider BALABARA BEACH as my top 10 best beaches in the philippines. She is CLEAN, PEACEFUL, and SERENE.
However, a beautiful destination like BALABARA BEACH, comes with a challange because our banka could not anchor in the shores. So we had to swim our way to the beach which wasnt easy because of the strong riptides that pulls you to the ocean. If swimming to BALABARA BEACH was hard, it was even harder to return to the banka because you will have to battle your way to at least 4 strong waves which were a challange to us and my 2 golden retrievers named BACHUS AND BELLEROPHON.
Overall, my looc experince was very unique and fun. Most importantly, locals enjoyed my golden retrievers naming them LIONS OF GOLO. If i would come back,most definately.

HISTORY= Onoda trail was named after HIROO ONODA, a member of Imperial Japanese Army. He was assigned by his commanding officer together with three more soldiers to observe the american army in the philippines in 1945. Soon after the war was over, several attempts were made to persuade Hiroo Onoda to surrender.
For 30 years, Hiroo Onoda never surrendered unless his commanding officer will personally tell him that the war was over.
On 1974, Japanese government was able to track Major Yoshimi Taniguchi, Hiroo Onoda commanding officer, and personally tendered his surrender. During his surrender, he tendered several ammunitions including his samurai sword which was personally returned to him by former president ferdinand marcos due to pardon.

Lubang tourism requires tourists to pay a minimal environmental fee and hire a local guide. Our guide named EBET brought us to cave 1 which is an easy 20 min trek. Based from cave 1, i can conclude that Hiroo Onoda and company were not tall soldiers since the cave is not exactly tall nor spacious. After cave 1, we proceeded to cave 2 which is approximately 15min trek. Cave 2 was filled with bats but odorless. We were prohibited to visit cave 3 as per local guide Ebet, cave 3 was not well maintained. The last cave or cave 4 happens to be onodas favorite cave since its his entertainment cave because some stones produce musical sounds.
Our overall experince in onoda trail was as excting as our local guide Ebet because it was his first time guiding us with my golden retrievers.
