Pochi, a 2 month old female shih tzu had been vomiting for 2 days with bland diarrhea, adjacent to lethargy and inappetence.

Diagnostic tests had been made and came positive to “Parvo Virus”. A viral infection that affects mainly dogs especially young puppies. CPV is highly contagious and it can be acquired through feco-oral route by an infected dog.

Vaccines can prevent this viral infection, mortality is at 90% if left untreated and treatment often needed hospitalization.

Pochi however, was confined for 6 days and was able to survive the deadly viral infection. Kudos to their cooperative Owners as well.

Izzy, a female 4month old persian is a newly acquired pet about a week ago, she had episodes of vomiting, soft stools and inappetence for 2 days.

After running her blood-works and tests— it came out being positive of “Giardia”. Giardia is a type of microscopic protozoan parasite, causing an intestinal infection marked by abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, bouts of watery diarrhea and inappetence.

Your pets can acquire this from drinking contaminated water, bodies of water that is infected with “Giardia.” It is a must to consult your nearest Veterinarian as it is highly detrimental and fatal if left untreated.

A 5month old Pomeranian, came with his right foreleg limping. Mochi, had a traumatic event— fell from elevated position and a good height enough to broke his right leg that cause his right leg lameness.

Weekly vet visits and series of radiographs— casting, splinting, bandages (to immobilize his injured leg), medications, love, care and patience made it fixed.
