Sharing this very touching photo captured during the dramatization of the passion of Christ.

The puppy can’t understand why they were hurting him, but he wanted to come closer to comfort him and make him feel loved.

Dogs, indeed, hold a remarkable ability to spread love and affection and this holy week, we are reminded that we should also extend our love and kindness to these voiceless creatures.

“Just like Jesus, who taught the importance of love, compassion, and kindness, dogs serve as living examples of these values in the animal kingdom.

Maybe the dog knew how it is to be persecuted, be unwanted, unloved and hurt so he made an effort to comfort him🥹

May we show kindness and empathy towards our canine friends, and offer our prayers for the unfortunate dogs who have fallen victim to cruelty and violence.”

Recently, we have been diagnosing several patients positive with Canine Distemper virus. This highly contagius disease can be passed from dog to dog through direct contact of fresh urine, blood and saliva. Sneezing, coughing , sharing of food and water bowls make possible way for virus to passed on.

Common symptoms:
▪️coughing
▪️fever
▪️vomiting
▪️ diarrhea
▪️loss appetite
▪️seizures
▪️facial muscle twitching
▪️purulent nasal and ocular discharges

If any of these symptoms are observed, it best to have your dogs check. Early detection and medications help a lot for survival.

NOTE: Patients diagnose positive with distemper in our clinic were adults (not vaccinated and not updated vaccines).

Proper vaccination is crucial to prevent this serious disease.
Maintaining healthy diet and annual core vaccination update is relevant to protect your pets health.
