If your main concern is for yourself rather than the welfare of dogs and cats, DON’T OPEN A SHELTER!! There's a special place in hell for people who abuse helpless creatures.

Recently, I've been seeing a lot of posts from CEBU’s various rescuers expressing their concerns about other rescuers taking advantage of dogs and cats for their own benefit. Stray animals shouldn't be used for businesses that make money but instead it is our responsibility as a rescuer to bring a stray back to happiness and show them a sense of love they deserve. Let us show them what humanity is all about. Give them a sense of hope and provide them with a space to play freely and experience love. This should be their primary goal before they put up a shelter.

And please please please, would you please have compassion for the animals instead of only yourself?
