Fluorescein Eye Stain Test

This type of test is used in patients with eye problem. A fluoresceine orange stain is admistered in the surface of the eye and eyelids. A special light is used to asses and visualize corneal scratches, ulceration and lacerations.

When might you need to have your furbabies eyes check? In cases of:
~ Redness and Painful Eye
~ Any irregularity in the Cornea
~ Trauma

Princess was a recent recovered patient of ours, She was presented in the clinic with Severe tick infestation, Very pale mucous membrane and was having seizure episodes. Upon running laboratories we found out that she has a severe bacterial infection, Very low red blood cell count and tested positive for Canine Ehrlichiosis which is a blood parasite caused by ticks.
