☀️Beat the heat(stress)!☀️
Philippine's heat can be ruff on our furry best friends.
As the hotter months approaches, along with even higher temperatures, the risk of heatstroke increases.
Heatstroke is a real worry, and potentially deadly. Thankfully it is avoidable by taking preventive measures!
Let’s be pawsome pet parents and learn how to keep our com-paw-nions cool and safe!
1️⃣How can you tell if your dog’s overheating?
🔥Excessive panting
🔥Drooling non-stop
🔥Feeling hot to the touch
🔥Weakness or lethargy
🔥Vomiting or diarrhea
2️⃣If you see these signs, take action!
☁️Move your pup to a cool, shaded area.
💧Offer cool water to drink (DO NOT GIVE ICE COLD!).
💦Wet down their fur with a cool towel (avoid soaking them).
🏥Take them straight to the vet!
3️⃣Remember, prevention is key!
🔥Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day. (12PM - 4PM IS A BIG NO NO)
💧Keep fresh water readily available at home.
⛱️Provide shady areas for your dog to rest.
🚗Never leave your dog in a parked car, even with the windows cracked!
Let’s make sure our doggos enjoy the sunshine safely!
