Stray Love Ph is an active animal rescue org that was put up primarily to save the lives of stray dogs and cats that are classified “e

mergencies” and languish in the streets of Metro Manila and the nearby provinces within the Calabarzon and Central Luzon Regions. Stray Love Ph has been instrumental in saving hundreds of dog and cat lives from being euthanized at the City Pounds of Zamboanga and Metro Manila! The org has also managed to rescue several illegally detained Macaques in Mandaluyong, Batangas and Clark with the help of the DENR rescue team! In the aftermath of the deadly Taal Volcano eruption last January, Stray Love Ph managed to rescue several horses who were about to be sold by their owners to horse meat traders when they realized that these animals who have provided them their main source of income for years, would no longer be of any use to them. Aside from the horses who are now enjoying their lives in the farms of their new owners, the Stray Love Ph Team also rescued several animals (dogs, cats, ducks, chickens & a monkey) in different parts of Batangas that were hard hit by the eruption. While most of these animals have been reunited with their owners, those that have been not been claimed are in the care of a private shelter whose needs are being financed by the organization thru the help of donors. To date, Stray Love Ph has come to the aid of animal emergency cases not only in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, but also, in Zamboanga, Ilo-Ilo and Cebu. It is the aim of Stray Love Ph to evoke an awareness in people on the plight of the suffering voiceless! To encourage them not to turn a blind eye to dogs and cats they see wasting away in the streets. The Stray Love Ph Team dreams of spreading viral love and compassion campaigns so more people will want to donate to this worthwhile endeavor of saving the lives of these voiceless and oftentimes helpless creatures. Stray Love Ph has started promoting Spay and Neuter Campaigns to Barangays and LGUs, as well as campaigning against Animal Cruelty & Irresponsible Ownership!

Everyday we get by is something to be grateful for! And having visitors who drop by to delight our doggos with their presence and presents just brings all of us such joy!

We receive numerous messages about dogs that need to be rescued, but sometimes people forget that rescuing is just Day 1...

🐾 It takes a village to rescue even just one dog. It takes weeks, sometimes even months, before a dog is healthy enough to finally be released from the vet and able to live in our shelter in Tanay, Rizal.

🏡 Even then, living in the shelter is never the end goal. The end goal is to send these beautiful rescues to a loving home where they will be showered with all the love and care they deserve.

🐶 Running a rescue organization is difficult, and most times it is heartbreaking. We cannot do it without you. We are knocking on your hearts to help us help these beautiful souls. We cannot help them if we do not receive help ourselves.

Run free, Eggnog 😔🌈🐾

Eggnog, a senior dog, was heartlessly abandoned by his owner. He stayed put where he was left behind, hoping that his owner would return, and relied heavily on the kindness of strangers that would feed him.

When we found Eggnog, he was depressed and no longer wanted to eat. However, he slowly started to improve under the care of the vets at and Eggnog would eat, wag his tail, and it seemed like the light was back in his eyes.

But the neglect and hardships he went through were far too profound and his health began to deteriorate again. All we could do was make his remaining days comfortable. 😔😭 We are so sorry Eggnog, we wish we had found you sooner. Run free, sweet angel. 🙏 no more pain, no more suffering. We love you forever!

Dearest friends, we wish to appeal to your kind hearts. We need your support badly.
Operating a shelter with 225 dog rescues who we feed twice daily and get Vet checked regularly is a daunting task.

Oftentimes, we feel so overwhelmed with not just the responsibility of caring for our dogs at the sanctuary but moreso, with the enormous expenses that never seem to end. There are the collosal Vet bills, the purchases for wet and dry food, the vitamins, the shelter rental, the shelter utility bills, the caretakers' salaries, the shelter repair costs, sanitation products, cleaning materials, the quarterly Bravectos, the vaccine renewals (it varies per dog depending on the date they were rescued),the rescuer's fees, the fare or gasoline expenses for trips to the wet market and groceries and the list goes on.

We work very hard just so we can sustain all these and we are very thankful for the few earth angels who never fail to send us help on a monthly basis.

However, the expenditures are way over our heads and just too heavy to bear. We can no longer continue operating without more help.

Please help us carry on with this most worthwhile cause of saving precious fur lives and giving them a chance of living better tomorrows. Please DONATE.

We are currently looking for 2 caretakers. Male or Female. Between 20 to 50 years old.
Candidates must be:

-Genuine dog and cat lovers with the welfare of the animals first and foremost in mind.
-With a jolly disposition.
-Early risers.
-With the knowledge in handling dogs and cats. Especially when a fight ensues.
-Must make sure to feed the animals on time.
-Must be hygienic and organized.
-Must be with the initiative to keep the shelter clean at all times.
-Preferably with a knowledge in food preparation and dog/cat nutrition.
-Transparent and honest.
-Willing to relocate in Tanay Rizal and stay in the shelter.

At no instance shall the caretakers be allowed to strike the animals.

UPDATE ON COTTON: The abandoned dog who had to wade thru stagnant canal waters every single day in order to look for food to survive.

Scraggly no more. Cotton has been eating to her heart's content and drinking bacteria free water. Her weight gain is evident and this is a clear indication that this brave warrior will win over her battle with blood parasitism and mange.🥰

Cotton has also had her first warm bath in years and her sparse fur shaved so that when her fur does grow, it will grow evenly.

Cotton shall also be spayed before she leaves the clinic.

Hello Everyone! We would like to call on all ye kind souls out there.🙏🏻❤️

Our current balance from various clinics total a whopping P295,849.00 at the moment. And our burgeoning shelter operational costs are putting a huge strain on our personal funds😔

We have 225 dogs under our care and only 6 regular monthly donors who send us their love donations without fail.

A few other donors help us out with certain rescues, unfortunately what we receive is nowhere near our actual expenses.😔

Take for instance the case of Eggnog. His total bill is at P36,030 while the total donations we have received so far have amounted to only P 6,897.12.🥲

This does not include the rescuer's transportation expenses which we have already settled.

Dearest friends, we have committed our time to this most noble cause however, we can only continue if we have your support. Please know that every cent matters. Any donation no matter how small is better than nothing at all.

And the best part is knowing that whatever contribution you make helps save a precious fur life. 🙏🏻❤️🐾

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearest Makee - the courageous little Shih Tzu who was locked up in her small crate for years.😔🥲

Makee's original owner flew out of the country to seek greener pastures leaving her in the care of her senior parents who were not dog lovers at all. Not wanting to deal with cleaning her urine or f***s, they quickly put the poor girl in a small cage outside their house. For 9 years, her heartless owners never took Makee out of her tiny cell. Rain or Shine little Makee just sat or lay down in her cage as that was all she could do.

Because she had not been cleaned up or bathed for almost a decade her matted fur which was mixed with waste material, rotting food and mud (formed from rain water and everyday dust) had turned rock solid.

When we rescued Makee and took her to a Vet, the Vet literally had to use a saw to cut off the hardened cement like coat before he got to shave off her fur.

But the nightmare did not end there. When Makee's test results came out, she was found to be with so many life threatening conditions resulting from years of sheer neglect. Makee was found to be with an enlarged heart, Ascites, water in her lungs, chronic kidney disease and Ehrlichiosis. Her eyes were also so cloudy, everyone thought she had lost her vision and that she didn't have very long to live.

But, this little fighter didn't want her life to end on a sad note and so she fought with all her might to stay alive. Against all odds, she survived one ordeal after another. Although her life continued to hang by a thread, we celebrated our small wins each day whenever Makee managed to pull thru to the next day.

Her tragic tale somehow tugged at the heartstrings of a wonderful couple who not only offered to pay the remainder of her Vet bills but also, adopt her.

It was then that Makee's world changed from one of misery to sheer bliss.

They treated Makee like a princess and showered her with so much love and care. And boy, did she thrive! Through regular treatments and lots and lots of love, Makee's vision had cleared & all her ailments seemed to have disappeared. She started galloping around her spacious new home and making everyone laugh with her antics.

Yes, there were the occassional health scares as her pre-existing conditions could no longer be eradicated, only managed.But, always, by some miracle, she would bounce back.And for a long period of time, she managed to keep all her maladies at bay.

For 2 wonderful years Makee lived a life any dog could only dream of having. She got to live a life of comfort, eat to her heart's content, happily socialize with her doggie siblings, witness her fur parents get married and even have her own nanny.

But the time came when symptoms of her old afflictions resurfaced. Her body had taken a lot of beating thru years of neglect. Perhaps if Makee had been found sooner, her afflictions could have been addressed way before they reached the point of no return.😭🥲😔

Makee's spirit was willing to continue living but her body could no longer cope. And so, she gasped her last and bade this world goodbye.😔🥲

Our most heartfelt sympathies to dear Paolo Vitug and Atty.Micha Vitug. You guys could not have done things any better. You were the reason Makee hang on for as long she could. With you she felt loved, wanted, pampered, secure. It was because of you that she hang on for 2 more good years. She wanted her life to end on a happy note and she did!❤️🥰🐾

Bask in God's loving embrace and run free dearest Makee. You will forever remain in our hearts!🌈❤️🐾

We would like to encourage the people who might come across our post to please consider buying their produce so non of them go to waste. And more importantly, so that our hardworking farmers may finally reap the rewards from their hard work.

Eggnog, one of our latest rescues has been fighting the biggest battle of his life for over a month now.

When we rescued him, he was already on the brink of death. Eggnog's attending Vet had already told us the grim prospect of Eggnog succumbing anytime to any one of his numerous ailments. For one, he no longer eats unless force fed. Second, he has been losing so much muscle mass due to inactivity and a lack of essential nutrients that would enable him to gain weight and build strength. And while Eggnog continues to be in critical care, there are days when he shows a voracious appetite when fed and a sudden zeal to get better and stay alive.
We can only guess the reason for this to be the tender loving care he has been receiving from his attending Vet and her staff. Deprived of love for so long, the TLC he is being showered with is like a soothing balm to his soul.

Dearest friends, we knock on your kind hearts. We are struggling to make ends meet. Our whopping shelter operational costs compounded by our colossal Vet bills in various clinics have left us in dire straits. Please help us stay afloat and help us continue with this wonderful cause of saving furry lives. We NEED your help. Eggy NEEDS our help. Please, please help see us through his medical journey. His current bill has amounted to P36,030.

Remember CHOCO? 🐾🐶 here she is now, safe and well-loved! 🏠❤️ just look at that smile! 😄

Choco was one of 2 dogs who were abandoned by their previous owner at an empty lot 😔. Unfortunately, her companion didn't make it as she sustained major injuries from being run over by a speeding vehicle, dehydration, and hunger. 😭 During this whole ordeal, Choco never left her friend's side.

Luckily we made it in time to save Choco who was also suffering from dehydration, hunger, blood parasites, and more. Fast forward to today, she is now a happy and healthy dog that is oh so loved by her new family! We love you so much, Choco! 💖

Dogs teach us so much about loyalty, resilience, and love. We hope and pray that many more aspins receive the love and care that they deserve and that they all find their furever homes. 🏠

Time for some PAWsitive news! This one is a story of HOPE 🐶✨️

Just as a little puppy, Hope was run over by a speeding vehicle. She sustained multiple serious injuries such as fractures and wounds where her bones were exposed. No one bothered to rush her to the vet! 😭

Finally one day, her non-stop cries of pain were heard by a stranger and he took Hope to the vet and sought our help. The vet diagnosed Hope with calcified bones and muscle atrophy, and we feared that she would not be able to walk without a wheelchair.

We refused to give up on her. With regular PT exercises and an improvised belt to help lift her hips as she tried to walk, we were determined to help get Hope back on her feet. AND SHE DID! Although still a little wobbly, our sweet Hope is now able to get up and walk on her own. She resides at the shelter in Tanay, Rizal while she continues her recovery. Why not stop by to meet this sweetheart and all the other rescues? 🐾

Dear friends, your donations help give second chances to those like Hope. And it's because of you that we were able to help her get better. Still, there are thousands of other dogs like her and we need your help to be able to continue to care for the rescues we currently have at the shelter. While most of these animals have been reunited with their owners, those that have been not been claimed are in the care of a private shelter whose needs are being financed by the organization thru the help of donors.

To date, Stray Love Ph has come to the aid of animal emergency cases not only in Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, but also, in Zamboanga, Ilo-Ilo and Cebu.

It is the aim of Stray Love Ph to evoke an awareness in people on the plight of the suffering voiceless! To encourage them not to turn a blind eye to dogs and cats they see wasting away in the streets!

The Stray Love Ph Team dreams of spreading viral love and compassion campaigns so more people will want to donate to this worthwhile endeavor of saving the lives of these voiceless and oftentimes helpless creatures!

Stray Love Ph has started promoting Spay and Neuter Campaigns to Barangays and LGUs, as well as campaigning against Animal Cruelty & Irresponsible Ownership!
