UPMV-K9 was honored to be invited and to attend the Gawad NSRC 2024, the annual event organized by the NSTP Diliman Office through the National Service Reserve Corps UPD. This meaningful occasion highlights the dedication of reservists, coordinators, instructors, and partner organizations in advancing civic engagement and community service.

The organization extends its gratitude to NSTP Diliman for the recognition and appreciation of its contributions. UPMV-K9 remains committed to serving the community with its canine companions and is proud to stand alongside other advocates of volunteerism and service.

Congratulations, Batch 11 - Maragtas!

On November 16, UPMV-K9 celebrated the Moving Up Ceremony of Batch 11 - Maragtas, marking the culmination of their 6-month K9 SAR training program. This remarkable achievement showcased the dedication and perseverance of the handlers and their loyal K9 companions.

The event was made even more special by the presence of two distinguished guest speakers, who delivered inspiring speeches that motivated volunteers to continue serving with passion and purpose:
🧑‍🚒 Chief Superintendent Wilberto Kwan Tiu, Deputy Chief of Operations of the Bureau of Fire Protection, and
🐶 Ms. Anna Cabrera, Executive Director of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

UPMV-K9 takes immense pride in the accomplishments of Batch 11 - Maragtas and looks forward to their contributions to the community.

Batch 11 took on the Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) training last November 16, 2024, diving into a disaster simulation to prepare for emergencies. With rubble piles, confined spaces, and a complex scenario, they practiced techniques to locate and rescue trapped victims safely and effectively.

Through this hands-on experience, Batch 11 continues to grow their skills, working alongside their K9 partners and embracing the challenges of serving the community in times of need. 🐕💪

In support of UP Diliman Department of Military Science and Tactics , UPMV-K9 is proud to announce the donation of essential equipment made possible by the proceeds of our 7th Anniversary: BARKada event. These items, including wheelbarrows, a portable welding machine, and a portable saw, were officially turned over to COL ALLAN PETER D. RUDIO MNSA (SC) PA, Commandant and Department Head of DMST.

These tools will assist in the maintenance of the DMST grounds, which houses UPMV-K9. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of this vital space where our K9 teams train and serve the community.
