Are you feeding your dog too often? ⏰🍗⏰🥩⏰🥕🐶

Dogs fed once a day are less likely to be diagnosed with age-related conditions than pooches fed more often, study claims.

In the largest largest study to date of feeding frequency conducted in companion dogs, University of Arizona-led experts analyzed data on 24,238 pet dogs from the US and found:

• Being fed once a day lowered the risk of nine types of canine health problems
• These included cancer, dental issues and either kidney or urinary complications
• Similarly, dogs fed only once daily scored lower on tests of cognitive problems
• But the team said it is too early to advise owners to change their pet's diets

“We view these results as an exciting first step of an ongoing exploration of the impact of diet on companion dogs living in human environments. Given the intense interest in, and popularization of, ‘longevity diets’ such as intermittent fasting and time-restricted feeding, these types of studies in dogs are both timely and important. We believe these studies will ultimately offer insights into factors that promote health and longevity for both dogs and humans.” - The Dog Aging Project

The scientists and researchers we interviewed for The Forever Dog book agreed that one meal a day for healthy dogs is ideal, in terms of maximizing autophagy and minimizing metabolic stress.

May 13, 2023 is the day i gave birth to my son "Baby Totoy" and the day that my beloved senior dog died.

Sa litrato nalang nya ako at ang anak ko na hinihintay nya NASILAYAN 🥺 pagkatapos ay bigla na syang nawalan ng buhay ilang minuto matapos nyang makita na ligtas na kami pareho at nung sinabi ko sa kanya (video call) na wag na nya akong hintayin umuwi kasi matatagalan pa, magpahinga na sya kasi nahihirapan na sya at okey lang ako (kahit hindi)

Maraming salamat Lola Cory sa 13 years na wala kang ginawa kundi ang bantayan at mahalin ako. Maraming salamat sa pagtupad ng huling kahilingan ko na hintayin mo si baby totoy bago ka umalis kasi gusto ko na makita mo sya, hindi man personal pero kahit sa litrato. Hanggang sa mga huling hininga mo, pinili mo na pagbigyan ang hiling ko, alam ko na hiniling mo yun kay Lord, na bago ka mag-Mission accomplished sa buhay ko ay tuparin yung kahilingan ko kahit noon pa man na sabi ko sayo na hindi ka pwedeng mamatay hanggang hindi akin nagkakaroon ng anak, hindi ko naman akalain na hanggang dun lang pala ang buhay mo, sa araw na mismong isisilang ko ang anak ko. Salamat sa paghihintay, salamat sa lahat 🥺❤️

Pangako ko sayo na hinding-hindi kita kakalimutan. Pangako, ikukwento ko kay baby totoy lahat ng tungkol sayo. Ikukwento ko na may isang a*o na piniling umalis sa mismong araw na ipinanganak ko sya para iligtas sya at saluhin yung sakit na maaring dapat ay para sa kanya

Bumalik ka sana hindi para sa akin kundi para kay baby totoy Fidel The Little Prince of ASPIN , sya naman ang bantayan mo 🥺❤️ Pinangalanan namin si baby Totoy na FIDEL ALEXANDER dahil ang ibig sabihin nito ay FAITHFUL (Fidel) at DEFENDER (Alexander), kung gaano ka ka-faithful sa pagmamahal mo sa akin at sa aming lahat na pamilya mo at kung paano mo kaya kaming ipagtanggol o iligtas kahit kapalit pa nito ay buhay mo 🥺❤️
