An umbilical hernia occurs when part of the abdominal lining, fat, or an internal organ protrude around the area of the umbilicus. Most umbilical hernias do not present any health risks. However, in rare instances, a section of the intestines or other tissues may become trapped and strangulated, cutting off blood flow and leading to tissue death. This condition requires urgent surgical intervention.

Case of Urolithiasis and Kidney Disease
Zoe was brought to our clinic due to vomiting, inappetence, and difficulty urinating. Blood in his urine and obstruction upon catheterization were observed. He was admitted for monitoring and catheterization. After receiving medication for a few weeks, he is now marking his territory again. ♥️

Urolithiasis is common in intact male cats and causes irritation, inflammation, infections, and urinary tract blockages that can also lead to kidney disease.
The following clinical signs may be noticed:
➪ Difficulty urinating
➪ Blood in the urine
➪ Straining/Painful urination
➪ Decreased appetite or inappetence
➪ Vomiting
➪ Abdominal pain
➪ Fever
If any of these signs are observed, bring your pet to the vet clinic immediately, as treatment needs to be performed as soon as possible.

Jiji was a newly rescued little baby brought in our clinic due to vomiting, diarrhea and skin issues. She was very responsive but after her routine exams, Jiji found to have coccidia and roundworm on her stool while sarcoptes scabiei was found on her skin after performing skin scraping. She had medications at home for few weeks and now back as a parasite free little cutie.♥️

Earmites Infestation
A newly acquired kitten was presented in our clinic with black waxes on both ears. Routine exams were done and this little one has little parasites too.
Earmites are tiny critters usually found in the ear cannal of your dogs and cats but can also live on skin surface. These are highly contagious and pets become infested by direct contact with another infested animal.

FELINE PANLEUKOPENIA VIRUS
Sumba was brought in our clinic due to high fever, inappetence and lethargy. Complete blood count reveals leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. Viral test was done and Sumba turns out positive with Feline Panleukopenia virus. He was admitted for 24 hours observation. After 24 hours, he got his appetite back and was released from confinement to continue his medications at home. See you soon Sumba! ♥️

Feline Panleukopenia virus is a highly contagious disease of cat and commonly affects kitten. Infected cats can pass the virus through their feces, nasal secretions and urine. Susceptible cats become infected after contact with these substances or contaminated items.
The following clinical signs may noticed:
➪ Diarrhea
➪ Vomiting
➪ Lethargy
➪ Inappetence
➪ Fever
If observed, bring your pet to the vet clinic immediately. Keep track on their vaccines and other preventives!

Dumle was brought in our clinic due to inappetence, vomiting and hematuria. Our veterinarian conducted Physical Exam, Complete Blood Test, Urinalysis and XRAY. After all laboratory works, Dumle found to have enlarged prostate and urinary tract infection. He was admitted and had medications for few weeks at home with the help of his pawmily, our vet and staff and now got his energy back! ♥️
