THERE IS NEVER A 100% GUARANTEE FOR ANYTHING!
Buying a puppy with pedigree cannot give you a 100% guarantee for anything. It’s a buyer’s responsibility to do their homework, ask around, visit the breeder before buying a puppy, and meet the parents. It’s a buyer's responsibility to do his homework!
There are also vast differences among breeders, and to some, I would personally even forbid to breed! I can compare this to the auto industry - Do you want an Audi or Fiat (I drove both of them, and I prefer Audi. Money buys the quality in most cases). But then some people are resisting to pay that little higher price for a breeder that offers a “full package,” and often buyers get even mad or gossip about that breeder being expensive. And this is where disappointments come by after buying a puppy from a breeder who does all that is necessary to become one but doesn’t pay attention to the “details.”
The health and welfare of the puppy you buy will always be your primary concern. A puppy’s health is dependent on several factors, some of which can be controlled by a breeder and some of which, unfortunately, cannot. A breeder can never guarantee that a puppy they sell will always be healthy. Still, they can take steps to ensure that the puppies they produce will have the best possible start in life, and therefore have the best chance of remaining clear of hereditary and preventable illnesses.
