Dr G's WAYS TO KEEP YOUR PETS COOL THIS SUMMER ☀️🐶🐱

1 - BRING THEM INDOORS. Hottest part of the day is typically between 11AM and 2PM
2 - MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ACCESS TO WATER. Keep them hydrated
3 - PROPERLY GROOM YOUR PETS. Summer cut, bathing and frequent brushing their coat keep them cool
4 - AVOID HOT PAVEMENT. Avoid taking them outside during the hottest part of the day
5 - NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET IN A CAR. Leaving your pet in a vehicle is dangerous even if it's only for a few minutes.
6 - KNOW THE SIGNS OF OVERHEATING. Early intervention can prevent death for heatstroke
SYMPTOMS INCLUDES:
* Excessive thirst
* Excessive panting
* Rapid heartbeat
* Purple tongue
* Seizure
* Unconsciousness

Ang RABIES ay PREVENTABLE.

Paano?
Kapag nagpakita na ang nakagat ng a*o o pusa ng sintomas ng RABIES, wala na itong lunas.
Ang RABIES ay maiiwasan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabakuna sa animal bite center kapag nakagat ng a*o o pusa.
Ang pinakamurang pamamaraan para maiwasan ang paglaganap ng RABIES ay ang pagpapabakuna ng inyong mga alagang a*o at pusa.

Makiisa po tayo sa mga programa kontra RABIES.

If you can't be a responsible pet owner, huwag mo nang isipin na mag alaga ng a*o o pusa.

BE A RESPONSIBLE PET OWNER.
Have your pet vaccinated.
Have them spayed or neutered.

Dr G's Holiday Vacation Pet Travel Tips

1. Plan ahead for a smooth journey
2. Schedule a veterinary checkup
3. Know LGU pet policies of your destination
4. Choose a pet friendly accommodation
5. Make sure you have all the necessary paperwork
a. Vaccination Card (make sure all vaccinations are updated)
b. Veterinary Health Certificate (from your attending veterinarian)
c. Shipping permit (From National Veterinary Quarantine Services Division (NVQSD online portal)
6. Pack smart for your pet
a. Food and water
b. Medication and health records
c. Leash and ID tags (microchipped if necessary)
d. Comforting items (bedding and favorite toy)
7. Skip a meal on travel date (but be sure to keep your pet hydrated)
8. Make sure your pet is comfortable with the crate (keep them occupied with a toy)
9. Never leave your pet in a car alone.
10. Know when it is best to leave your pet at home.
