The patient was presented due to epistaxis (nosebleeding), lethargy, anorexia, muscle weakness, and skin lesions.
Upon examination, the patient had pallor and one important thing was noted: the patient had tick infestation.
Rapid test was immediately requested. The owners immediately complied.

The results came out. The patient had anaplasmosis and erlichiosis, both are life threatening blood infections that can be contracted through tick bites.

Ask your vets about tick preventives before it’s too late.
