I didn't wanna get a dog initially because I wasn't sure if I have already gotten over the death of Nola - my first dachshund. But the pandemic and isolation messed up my mental health real bad so my partner decided to get me a companion while he was away. Today, I wake up to a different kind of mess. Dismembered plushies, chewed off furniture, and dog toys all over the floor. The kind of mess I love. You know when they say that dogs have a way of finding the people who need them? It couldn't be more true in my case. Alon found me and allowed me to find the best version of myself.

Re-introducing first batch of ambassadors - here's .corgi

Read their story:

I remember it was night time and I was already studying for my classes the next day when my sister opened the door and put down a short legged, almost fully grown corgi. The next thing I knew, Leo was already walking towards me. Suddenly, my whole college routine got better. I had someone to go home to everyday after school and someone to stay beside me during car rides from Manila to Pampanga and vice versa. Waking up at 5am for a 7am class became much easier because I had the cutest alarm clock who didn’t stop removing my blanket until I got up. Several months later, COVID came and we got to spend 24/7 with each other in our province. Lockdown got me searching for corgi breeders without actually having a full decision of getting another one (considering the huge responsibility), but a few months through lockdown, my dad told me to look for another corgi because he saw how Leo brought so much comfort and joy to my older brother who had severe anxiety. These two dogs have brought so much joy that I can no longer imagine life without them. Though raising two dogs was a lot harder than I expected, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have realized that these two dogs came at the time I needed them the most. When I was having a hard time in Manila, Leo came. It was a time I needed something or in this case, someone to look forward to in order to keep me going. On the other hand, Pisces came around when I needed to grow up and learn to become more independent and responsible.

Meet our new brand ambassador, Nugget.

I’ve always wanted a toy poodle. An apricot toy poodle to be exact. Whenever i’m in McDonalds I always get chicken nuggets, it’s like my favorite food EVER, which is why I named Nugget, Nugget! 🤣  Nugget was a gift to me for my birthday July 2021. He was the best gift ever! Sweet, cuddle loving, and super energetic! Nugget will brighten anyones day. Aside from being known as the real life chicken nugget, Nugget is also a sock thief. One time when I went inside my room, I heard something moving inside my cabinet. Inside was Nugget covered in a sweater and in his mouth was a pair of socks. He’ll get any piece of clothing that he finds 🤣 Nugget was my buddy through the pandemic, making me happy all the time. Even though he steals my clothes hehe! 🤍

Meet our new brand ambassador, Willow.

Read his story:

As a medical student, I rarely have time for others, especially myself. I struggled with anxiety and panic disorder my entire life and this only worsened when I started medical school, even more so during the pandemic. Last year, Metro Manila imposed a strict lockdown and all my classes were now remote. Like everyone else, I felt very suffocated at home and needed an escape. I’ve always wanted a dog, but never liked the idea of such a big commitment especially with the kind of hectic schedule I had. With all the free time I had during quarantine, however, I thought a dog could easily cure my boredom. However, Willow turned out to be something so much more than I could have ever imagined. The moment we locked eyes at the airport terminal, we had an instant connection and were inseparable ever since. Willow taught me responsibility, patience, and unconditional love. Because of him my family discovered a new passion for dogs which is why we decided to get 2 more (Vivi + Umi)! Now, Willow and I enjoy al fresco dining and meeting new furriends! We especially love road trips and traveling—Flying to New York has been our all time favorite memory so far because we got to see our family and try puppuccinos in the middle of Time Square! Every day is an adventure, but the best part is simply cuddling up together on our bed during late nights and early mornings! I taught Willow how to be a good boy, but he taught me how to be a mother and so much more!
