This poor homeless doggo was spotted at Maalat area in Madridejos, Cebu last August 5, 2022. He was lethargic with heavy skin ulcerations — almost resembling a "zombie doggo". We went back to the area the next day to check if the dog was still there but unfortunately we couldn't locate him.

So if anyone has seen this dog, especially those who live in or near the area, please contact Charis Alipar 09380046251.

We have also coordinated with Island Sanctuary Wildlife Reserve, an animal rescue organization located at Santa Fe, Cebu. The dog will be picked up by their team once the dog's identity and current location is confirmed.

Please share. The dog needs immediate medical attention.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 84, the month of March is dedicated to spread awareness on rabies as a zoonotic disease - which means that rabies may be passed on from animals to humans. This year’s theme is “Rabies-free na pusa’t a*o, kaligtasan ng pamilyang Pilipino.”


Rabies is prevalent among house pets specifically in dogs. True to this year’s theme, it is imperative that we have our pets vaccinated against rabies, especially our dogs as 99% of recorded deaths due to rabies are transmitted from dogs. But in the Philippines, research shows that it is a challenge to vaccinate 70% of the “at-risk” dog population if the dog population is underestimated (Dizon et al., 2022). This, in turn, calls for the need to revisit the existing guidelines of the rabies control program to allow for adequate statistics for vaccine coverage of the country’s dog population.

Give this mama dog and her puppies a chance and adopt them from the Cebu City pound! She was ripping apart the white cardboard there..

Hello, everyone! ✨

Santa's Helfurrs will be having a break for now. There are no "goodbyes", just "see you soon". We are genuinely thankful (and will never run out of thank yous 😂) to everyone who supported us in this little christmas charity project. To our families, friends, and even strangers who joined our cause without any second thoughts, thank you very much for the time and effort. We look forward to be doing this again next christmas. But until then, take care and have a good year ahead! 🐶🧡🐱

Sorry for the late post. Its still very hard to get a good signal in our area. But since the signal is quite okay at the moment, here's a quick thank you post to our last batch of Santa's Helfurrs of the Week. Even though we couldn't push through with Batch 3 and 4, thanks to these people, we were still able to extend a little help to the dogs and cats in need. (See previous post)

Unfortunately, we weren't able to push through with our final feeding activity. Instead, we used the remaining funds to lend a helping hand to the dogs and cats at MARO - Mayari Animal Rescue Organization, Inc. . Thanks to Dan Vetter for having us. Such a kind and compassionate person. He even gave us a tour of the area, introduced some of the dogs and cats in the shelter, and shared a couple of interesting rescue stories. It was a fun and heart-warming experience. 🧡🧡🧡

Hello, everyone!✨ Since we cannot push through with the feeding this week due to the incoming typhoon, we will be donating 50% of Santa's Helfurrs' current funds to Saving Strays Cebu so we could help them in their goal of providing a safe space for the poor homeless dogs and cats. Behind all of our successful feedings are the people who supported and motivated us to do ✨MORE✨. We have been showered with so much blessing these past few days and one of those is the overwhelming number of donators that helped us push through with the feeding this week. 🥺💖

Most of you may not be able to physically join us for the feeding due to time or distance related complications, but you are always with us in this journey as we . 🐶🧡🐱

Santa's Helfurrs Batch 2 was a success! ✨🐶🧡🐱✨

This batch was extra challenging especially during food preparation since we doubled our food proportioning (more doggos and cattos to feed 💖). Never thought we'd empty all 6 boxes in 5 hours! 🤯

Huge thanks to all our volunteers, who were ever kind and ever patient in everything we do. Never complained about anything during the feeding and are just really good people (and fun, too!)🥰. Wouldn't have made this without you guys. We made a good team 😉. Till next time! 🐾

What better way to start the week than going out with your friends and drive around town to ? 🐶🧡🐱

Today was our first ever ✨Feed The Stray Day✨
And since its our first time, we didn't exactly know what will happen. The day started with alot of doubts ("Maluto ni nato tanan?", "Mahurot ni natog hatag tanan?") but ended with empty boxes and full hearts. 💖

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us in so many ways. The donators, volunteers during the feeding, and even those who shared our posts -- reaching so many kind-hearted individuals that helped us along the way. Without you, all of this would not be possible. These little acts of kindness makes a big difference. Life may not be all good, but its definitely not all bad. 💌
