Most dogs don't actually like wearing shoes since it may feel uncomfortable and unnatural for them. It may throw off their balance. However, when walking on very hot and cold surfaces, socks and booties may be a good idea!
As for cats, you might want to call off on giving them any sort of footwear, as covering up their claws may make them feel defenseless and scared.
Have you always wanted a snake as a friend? Here are some things you need to consider before you take one home. 🐍
1. All reptile species are protected under the Philippine Wildlife Act of 2001, so you are required to get a permit to own a snake. Make sure that the specific snake that you wish to get is also legally traded.
2. Snakes require particular temperature and humidity levels to thrive. Typically, they need hot and cool areas to regulate their temperature — so invest in the right tank equipment!
3. Snakes can grow very, very long. Make sure to do your research beforehand. In general, snakes would need a tank large enough for them to fully stretch out comfortably.
4. Snakes are carnivores — but they don't just eat any meat from the grocery store! You will need to feed your snake with mice or rats to keep them healthy and fulfilled. If you're squeamish with the idea, you might want to reconsider.

3. Make sure they have their cage all to themselves. Hedgehogs are solitary creatures, so they won't bode well with a cage buddy.
4. Give them space to run about! Invest in a spacious cage with a house and barrel wheel for them to hide and run about.

📌 Do you have dedicated time to raise and train a pup? Puppies require constant supervision within the first few months. If you work from home or have a flexible schedule, then raising a pup may be a good idea. But if you’re always out and about, perhaps it’s time to reconsider this choice.
📌 If you have children, puppies may be too much to handle if you have tiny hoomans running around!
📌 Which one is cheaper? Taking care of adult dogs.
However, at the end of the day, the choice is yours. Pup or dog?

Can your dog live outside of your house just fine?
While the topic is a controversial one, the short answer is actually: yes! they can.
Provided that their needs are met, such as: proper shelter, enough food (outdoor dogs burn more calories, so they need more!) and constant supply of water--dogs that have thick fur or are bred for remaining outdoors for a long period of time (such as herding dogs) can live in the backyard just fine.
However! that is to say, if you choose to make your dog an indoor dog or an outdoor dog, it must be something that is CONSISTENT. If you make your outdoor dog live inside for a while just because you felt like it, only to have them live outside again (and vice versa for indoor dogs!) it wears down your dog's mental health, so keep that in mind!

While shopping from a good breeder for a specific breed might be the reason most people shop, you can actually still find these specific breeds in shelters or rescues!
Just remember that for every animal that gets adopted from a shelter, a space opens up for another animal to be rescued!
Notice these signs? It might be a bone issue! 🦴 Here are the common bone problems in dogs:
• Panosteitis - The inflamation on the surface of long bones "growing pains." It may be relieved with medication.
• Osteochondrosis - A cartilage separation from a joint bone. An appropriate diet without too much calcium helps prevent the condition!
• Hypertrophic osteodystrophy - The inflammation in the growth plates of the long bones. Treatment with medication can relieve associated pain and suppress inflammation.

If your puppy gets too excited and RUFF with you during playtime, the best thing to do is to remain calm and still until they calm down. Essentially, be boring! Once they calm down, give them a treat and reward them right away!
If being boring doesn't work and they're still too excited, redirect their attention with a toy! Make sure you praise them for chewing on that instead of your sensitive hooman skin to encourage them even further 👍
