We're sorry to bring this heavy news to your feed, but we think it is very important for you to know the realities our local dogs are facing everywhere in the Philippines - wherever Government Pounds exist. 😭
𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟴 (𝟭:𝟰𝟱𝗽𝗺) --- 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟵 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲.
This is the 4th batch of dogs euthanized since our CAP Team stopped our Rescue Operations. And the Nth batch since they have started euthanizing dogs years ago.
❗TO EVERYONE
Before getting a pet, make sure you can commit to them their whole life. If you cannot, DO NOT GET ONE! Do not even think of giving people pets as 'gifts' unless you are sure they can afford all their needs!
❗TO OWNERS
You could have saved your dog with a simple leash or by keeping them inside your homes or lots. The pound only captures unleashed dogs on public streets. Please be responsible!
❗TO GOVERNMENT POUNDS
Please do not just stick to impounding and euthanasia. Where is the if the irresponsible owners are not even punished? Nothing is being solved here. At least put a hold on your operations until you find a better solution. Please keep in mind that we, TAX PAYERS, pay for this operation. We deserve to be heard!
Yes it is the LAW. But at the end of our lives, Laws do not mean anything to the Higher Being. It is our heart that matters and how we value others.
