I am very sorry, to all the people that have been affected of the accident.
Last October 8 - 13, I have a boarding scheduled for 4 guinea pigs (2 adults and 2 babies. They got here earlier, and I accomodated them. I made sure that the owner knew my conditions prior to boarding (ie. I'm a student and I can't watch them all the time because I go to school). On October 13, pinauwi ako ng parents ko. I thought it was okay but nadelay yung flight ng owners so I waited po until 2pm but they still haven't boarded the plane so I asked if okay lang na maiwan sila for a day, and they said yes. I also made sure that the piggies have enough hay and water before leaving. On Oct. 15 11am, they are in front of my dorm to fetch the piggies but I am still in my hometown so I told them na maybe I will be arriving in my dorm at 7pm or later. I did arrive at 8:30pm and I broke down when I saw what happened. The cage is unassembled, my cat is roaming and there are no guinea pigs in the cage. I saw the 2 adults hiding under the stairs, but I can't find the 2 babies. Turns out, my cat got out of my room and attacked the babies.
I delivered the bad news to the owner and I know that this hurt them, I offered to compensate by shutting down my business, replacing the guinea pigs, posting an apology post in my page and by refunding them of the rate that is given to them for the 2 babies.
I am sorry for what happened, I am sorry for the owner, and I am sorry for all the clients that is affected in this incident. I am also sorry for breaking your trust.
This is the first and only time that this happened. I didn't post an apology letter sooner, because this accident pushed me to have a depressive episode.
I admit my mistake, I know I am at fault and I am not running from my responsibility as a pet owner and a business-owner.
