Puppies pick up a lot of knowledge from their moms, particularly during the weaning phase when they are five weeks old. To teach their puppies appropriate conduct, mothers will growl or snap at inappropriate behavior. (It turns out that even dogs provide a little "tough love" to their pups!) 🥰

Did you know that puppies are born deaf and blind, with no teeth? It’s one of our favourite interesting facts about puppies. Even the famous canine sense of smell isn’t active when a puppy is born, and their eyes and ears are closed. Their eyes open when they are between 10 and 14 days old, with eyesight fully developing at about 7 weeks! 🤓☝🏻

Flashback Fri-yay to the gorgeous mother Peanut who gave birth at the clinic 🥰

We did the Progesterone test to know the timing of parturition. Knowing this is a huge help in such a way where paw-parents won't have to wait and worry when your pet is about to give birth and the timing if ever your pet should undergo a CS. ☝️🧐

Giving birth can be a frightening and a confusing experience for both the dog and the owner. Here at Pups & Tots Veterinary Clinic, we are very much happy to assist you and your pet at such time with the help of Natural Delivery Assistance and Progesterone Test which are available at the clinic!! 🤗✨
