We offer on the spot HEMATOLOGY (Complete Blood Count, Platelet Count, Differential Count), CLINICAL CHEMISTRY (SGPT, BUN, Creatinine, SAP, TP, Glucose, Cholesterol, etc), ELISA TESTS (Parvo, Distemper, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, Leptospirosis, Brucella), VACCINE TITER (Parvo, Hepatitis, Distemper), URINALYSIS, FECALYSIS, Vulvar Smear, among others like Blood Culture and Sensitivity, Histopathology, etc. For DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING, we are equipped with an ULTRASOUND for pregnancy detection, assessment of fetal viability, assessment of abdominal and thoracic organs. We also have a fully digital Xray machine for imaging of skeletal, abdominal and thoracic structures. To assist us in CARDIOLOGY, we are equipped with an Interpretative ECG and 2-D Echo Sonography. C-Section Puppies!
Their mom C was referred to AKVH for pre natal radiographs and pelvimetry.
Unfortunately C went into labor the next day while her primary vet was away so C was again referred to AKVH for an emergency Caesarian section.
C and puppies are now all back under the care of their primary vet 😊
Congratulations C and furparents 😁

AKVH extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Karlo Gicana, the country’s leading veterinary cardiology practitioner, for conducting an enriching in-house seminar on Left-Sided Echocardiography for our doctors.

It was an exciting learning experience as we explored how to achieve standing heart images; measure Tei indices; and identify E and A waves on the pulse wave Doppler!

C came in after vomiting repeatedly, and her vet, Dr. Gleo, suspected something was blocking her intestines.

And what did we find inside?
🪢 Part of a rope chew toy
🐾 A clump of hair and string
🦴 A bone!

Quite the “collection” hiding in her tummy and intestines! Thankfully, C’s surgical team — Dr. Gleo, Dr. Eli, Dr. Liland, and Anjun — worked together to remove everything safely. Yesterday, C went home after her surgery!

👏 Great job, team!
And big kudos as well to C’s fur parents for acting fast and bringing her in right away. Their quick decision truly saved her life. ❤️

Say GOODBYE to doubtful test results!

B tested positive for Ehrlichia, Anaolasma AND Babesia on a lateral flow or rapid test kit! What a tragedy! 3 Terrible diseases all at once! 😭😭😭
B’s owner sought a second opinion at AKVH and we tested B using a Polymerase Chain Reaction system that detects for the DNA and RNA of Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma and Hepatozoon and B tested NEGATIVE for all!
B and her fur mom were spared unnecessary and costly long term treatment 👍👍👍😀😀😀
