This local brand called Bark and Spark was started by a Pinay pet parent who believes that dogs spark joy... and I agree with her! So why not spark joy in our pets’ lives by gifting them with comfy and stylish walkies? 😍
Few things are tougher than the kennel cough 😩
If your pet starts honking like a goose, take them to your family vet and give them this soothing antiseptic tea to help them feel better. 🤎
You loved me your whole life, and I will miss you for the rest of mine.
Run free forever, Raikko.🌈🐶✨
Reasons I support Made Mindful 💚
Mindfully made in every way, here are some reasons @mademindful.ph is true to their name. 💚
1. Created by a person who got depressed over her dermatitis. It’s important for people with voices like business owners to open up honest discourse on mental health.
2. They have a consistent sustainable packaging mission with:
🌏 Paper bag
🌏 Cardboard boxes
🌏 Honeycomb cushioning paper
🌏 Glass bottles
3. The owner also spreads awareness on plastic pollution and how the Philippines is one of the top plastic polluters in the world.
4. They partner with Lucban Academy for scholarship programs. Quezon Province is the home of some of their partner organic farmers.
Remember to support businesses with heart! When you support them, you support their partner communities.
Fruit to give your dog (in moderation)
A piece of fruit (diced-up) a day keeps the vet away! 🍎🥝🥭
💡 this is a great point because kibble is legally bound and designed to be nutritionally balanced, which means it hits the nutritional needs of your pet.
🧐 The main problems I have with kibble are:
• lack of transparency
• lack of moisture
⏯ This video is about transparency first.
🤨 You’ll see the most kibble brands don’t really make an effort to show you the family farms they partner with to source their ingredients.
Nor do they show you what goes on in their facilities.
💼 When looking at a bag of kibble, you’ll see 2 ingredients:
• meat and bone meal
• animal fat
🥩 But my pet’s a carnivore, isn’t this good for them?
📝 What’s alarming is the VAGUENESS.
🧐 Most kibble are feed-grade. You’ll see that the regulations of feed-grade aren’t even half as many as the human grade ones, and ingredients used can be unsafe for human consumption.
This include 4️⃣D MEATS.
Which stands for:
• dead
• diseased
• dying
• down.
And 4D meats can include roadkill and euthanized animals.
👨⚕️Dr. Steve Brown has been a practicing vet for many years and started his fresh food business 18 years ago, with many customers living long and healthy lives.
👩💻 In this article, they talk about how 85% of billions of pounds of rendered animal parts are used as feed-grade ingredients.
😮Which is crazy to think about because these are also used in:
• explosives
• toothpaste
• paint
• cosmetics
💭 So it really makes you wonder, “what the heck is this stuff doing in my pet’s food?”
POV: it’s been 4 years since you started fresh feeding your pet and she’s the happiest and healthiest she’s ever been. 😎
📝 An important thing to note is that fresh feeding is NOT a one-destination-journey. I won’t life in saying it doesn’t get frustrating and time consuming because it does.
🚩 I spoke to a friend @gabieprieto who pointed out that if a food is easy and fast to prepare, it’s a red flag because more often than not it’s junk.
🤗 But fresh feeding doesn’t have to be something that takes up all your time and effort, you do what’s best for you, your pet, and your schedule. If your timetable only allows you to give some broccoli on top kibble on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And then some chicken breast on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Then on sundays, some dehydrated pork trachea... all this is still amazing! And your pet would’ve already eaten better than he/she did the week before.
💕A little fresh everyday goes a very long way!

A list of reasons @fetchnaturals has become a family favorite. 💙
💚 Started by a pet mom, inspired by Khal Drogo (her Bichon Frise), whose skin spots weren’t going away even with antibiotics, natural remedies, and medicated shampoos.
🌱 She researched & consulted experts until she discovered neem which is a recurring ingredient in Fetch! products.
❓Neem is a natural insecticide / pesticide, and is great for skin and hair health.
🇵🇭 Fetch! empowers Filipinos. They partner with local farmers, giving them steady income.
🇵🇭 They have a Petpreneur program in which they encourage small businesses or pet parents to re-sell their products.
🍃 They take pride in using high quality natural products.
🤚🏽They’re transparent with their sourcing and manufacturing processes (they post pics and vids and everything)!
👃🏽 It smells great yet is mild, so it doesn’t trigger allergies or asthma.
📱 Keep watching this to find out more!
Most food based allergies are immune overreactions to overexposure of a certain thing!
Rotation and variety not only keep things interesting for your pets (can you imagine having to eat the same thing over and over again? 🥱), but it mimics what their wild cousins do! And! It’s great for maintaining optimal health 🙂
I talk about organically raised livestock and some of the reasons I love it so much here too. I’ll list them down:
💚 You help support small local family farms who value ethical practices. What does this mean?
💚 They have meaningful relationships with their farmers and pay them well.
💚 The livestock is humanely raised so they get to run around in fields, breathe in fresh air, eat real food / grass, and aren’t injected with antibiotics or steroids.
When you support family farms like this, you empower them to move forward! They get to inspire more businesses to do the same too.
Remember that we are what we eat! So whatever our meat ate when it was alive, we eat too.
LASTLY! You’re a great pet parent for wanting to give fresh at all, so whether it’s organic or not - a little fresh always goes a long way ⭐️ don’t forget that!
We’re back!!! With bath tips!!! 🧼 and a lot of “uhm”s because it’s been a while 😬😧 hahahaha oops
Do you have any secret bath tips? 🤔
🚫Christmas flowers whether plastic or real should not be eaten by pets.🚫
Yes, I used my spoolie as a pointer 😂
These common indoor plants could kill your pet! ☠️
🐶🪴🌸🐱
Before gifting a pet parent with a plant or flower, you might wanna check out this list of toxic ones:
☠️ Pothos
☠️ Elephant Ear
☠️ Umbrella
☠️ Corn Plant
☠️ Dragon Tree
☠️ Hyacinth
☠️ Tulips
If you really want to give any of these as presents, make sure to remind the receiver to:
✅ For condo residents, keep these plants away / separate room from their pets.
✅ For garden owners, always supervise playtime.
🚩If you have pets and any of these plants at home and your pet is exhibiting these symptoms, take them to the nearest vet ASAP.
What the heck do I do with my face shield now???
The @theplaf can convert our face shields into ⭐️ Sustainable Construction Materials ⭐️ for houses, schools, and shelters!
Before tossing your shield into the trashcan for it to live in a landfill for years on end, why not have it converted into something productive? 💖
🤔 If you don’t pair turmeric with black pepper for yourself and your pets, you’re gonna wanna watch this!
📚 According Dana Angelo White, RD (founder of Dana White Nutrition in Connecticut), a study published in Planta Medica revealed that combining:
🖤 20 milligrams (mg) of piperine with
💛 2 grams (g) of curcumin
INCREASED the amount of curcumin that could be ABSORBED by the body by 2,000%! 😳
🖤 Piperine also increases the absorption of many nutrients, by preventing metabolizing enzymes (these break down the stuff we eat) from performing their function. (A review by Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, 2019).
