Calcium supplement for Aquarium Fish, Shrimps & Snails. In order to develop their bones well, fish need a lot of calcium since their bones mainly consist of calcium. Aquatic animals that have external skeletons, like shrimp and crabs, often undergo a molting process, which requires a lot of calcium in order for them to develop strong shells. In snails, the demand for calcium is even higher than for shrimp. Their external shell is almost completely made of calcium carbonate about 95-98%.
Calcium is also important in any freshwater tank in order to minimize the rise of pH levels, and it is especially important in a planted tank as it allows for healthy growth of your aquarium plants.
Ingredients: High purity powdered Calcium Carbonate
Add 1/4 teaspoon for every 5 gallons of water during every water change. Dissolve in small amount of water before adding it to the aquarium.
Will initially cause water clouding but will eventually clear .
