Case Presented:
I received a phone call from farmer(11-02-2021), with complaint that his buffalo, who was 9.5 months pregnant, showing symptoms of abdominal distension, difficult to stand-up, dyspnea during laying down. On physical examination, there was severe bilateral distension of abdomen(round shape abdomen from back-view), feels difficulty in walking. Farmer told that abdominal distension is gradually increasing since 20-days. Animal feels very difficulty to get up from sitting since two days, and animal was off-feed and slightly dehydrated.
Per-rectal examination revealed big enlarged fluid filled uterus, unable to palpate fetus, uterus occupied maximum of abdominal cavity.
