Fell from 5th floor.
Male kitten rescued, fell from 5th floor, left forelimb and left Hindlimb broken, bleeding hypothyroidism, severe pain, Rescued in very critical condition, treatment done. Now kitten is stable out of danger, under treatment. X-ray recommended. Kitten is too small for surgery.

Male cat lost or Abandoned pet rescued, Deep Wound on inguinal region. Peritoneum cavity exposed. Tempt 103F. Severe dehydration Local anesthesia around the wound. Wound cleaned. Pus removed from peritoneum cavity. Antibiotic applied inside the peritoneum). Suturing done. Dressing done. Under treatment

Spreading the word.
A sports gala was held at Bahauddin Zakariya University today. They had allocated a stall for Huraira Animal Hospital and our Dr. Waseem and other doctors from the university spent time at the stall and briefed the people & students about Animal Welfare, World Animal Friends and Huraira Animal Lovers.

This young cat has a severe injury to his neck caused by a tight band around it. You can see maggots have infected the wound. Thankfully the cat was rescued promptly and is being treated at the hospital.

Mum and kittens rescued.
Female cat rescued with 4 kittens. One kitten was expired due to hunger. Mother cat suffering from mouth maggots wound, unable to eat. Maggots removed under treatment.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of cats needing treating as a result of dog bites.
This is one current case that is under treatment.

This cat is one of the many cases at Huraira Animal Hospital In Karachi.
The vets can handle most of the cases but sadly they are unable to perform complicated orthopaedic surgery.
Cats that need bone pinning and plating have to be taken to a specialist surgeon who has the necessary equipment..
We have managed to negotiate a special discounted price for the surgery meaning we pay £50
I think you will agree this is very reasonable- think how much this would cost is UK!

The hospital is also a home to a cat shelter where cats that cannot be returned to the outside are housed.

The Huraira team try hard to get the cats adopted but homes are not easy to come by,

This poor little mite was attacked by a dog.
Forelimb eaten by dog.
Wound on back (over 3rd lumber vertebrae).
Dehydrated. Temp: 103F
Lethargic. Anaemic. Under treatment

This new little patient has an inguinal hernia.
He needs surgery to repair it.

He is at the hospital being cared for.

This little cat is one rescued from the PAF Museum.
Apparently his eye was pecked by a crow.
The eye will probably have to be removed. At least he is with the Huraira team now getting treatment.

3 Huraira vets and a shelter assistant at the PAF Museum. They were there to provide on the spot treatment to the homeless cats there. They took any needing more serious treatment back to the hospital.
