Let us discuss a case!!
Farmer came to hospital about complaint of lameness in herd of fattening animals. Bedding of animals was muddy. On physical examination of hooves of animals, there was no visible sings of foot rot.. . Feeding history shows silage and potatoes in feed. When I asked about quantity of Sodium Bi Carbonate used in feeding, farmer told about very minute quantity of that. After simple addition of sodium bicarbonate in feed, the problem vanished within a week.
What's your diagnosis?

چھوٹے بچوں کو پالنا!!!
Calf Rearing!!
گائے بھینس کے نوزائیدہ بچوں کو پالنا انتہائی اہم ہے۔۔ اس عمل کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کیا جاتا ہے۔
حصہ اول:-
پیدائش سے لے کر 24 گھنٹے تک
حصہ دوم:-
24 گھنٹے سے دودھ چھڑوانے تک

حصہ اول کی مینیجمینٹ:-

اس حصہ میں سب سے اہم عمل بچے کو بوہلی پلانا ہے۔۔ ہمارے ہاں ایک غلط فہمی پائی جاتی ہے کہ جب تک جانور جیر نہ پھینکے جانور کا دودھ (بوہلی) نہ دوہیا جائے۔ یہ چیز نہ صرف بچے کے لیے نقصان دہ ہے بلکہ ماں کے لیے بھی نقصان کا باعث ہے۔دوسری طرف اگر آپ بچے کو بوہلی اس کی پیدائش کے ایک گھنٹے کے اندر اندر پلائیں گے تو اس کو تین ہفتے تک انشاللہ کسی قسم کی بیماری نہیں آۓ گی بشرطیکہ جانور کے ڈرائ پیریڈ میں کوئ بیماری نہ ہو اور اسکا دودھ دوہ نہ لیا ہو اسی طرح ویکسین شدہ جانور کی بوہلی اچھی ہو گی ۔
اگر ہم بچے کو دیر سے بوہلی پلائیں گے تو اس کے اندر اینٹی باڈیز کم ابزارب ہوں گی۔ نتیجتاً بچے کے بیمار ہونے کے چانسز بڑھ جاتے ہیں۔
24 گھنٹے کے بعد بچے کے اندر اینٹی باڈیز کی ابزاربنس ختم ہو جاتی ہے۔

حصہ دوم کی مینیجمینٹ:-

یہ دورانیہ 2 سے 3 ماہ کا ہوتا ہے۔ اس حصہ میں اہم ترین جز بچے کے معدہ کی ڈویلپمنٹ ہے ۔۔ اس مقصد کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے ہمیں بچے کو ثابت مکئی کے دانے اور کاف سٹارٹر کھلانا چاہیے- اگر آپ کے پاس کاف سٹارٹر کے پیسے نہیں ہیں تو مکئی کا دلیہ اور ثابت مکئی کے دانے کھلائیں۔ یہاں ایک بات بہت ضروری ہے کہ بچے کے پاس ہر وقت تازہ صاف اور پینے کے قابل پانی پڑا رہنا چاہیے۔۔ ہمارے ہاں بچے کو اس کی بجائے سبز یا خشک چارہ دیا جاتا ہے جو کہ بہت غلط طریقہ کار ہے ۔ اس کی وجہ سے بچے کا پیٹ لٹک جاتا ہے اور بچے کی گروتھ بھی کم ہوتی ہے۔

(A public service message)
A deadly zoonotic disease caused by bite of rabid animals .. The disease prevalent in our area is due to bite of Dog.. Rabies can be in transmitted in any mammal .. One bite of rabid animal is responsible for death of number of bitten animals even humans.. Rabies cause is a virus belonging to genus Lyssa Virus family Rabdoviridae. This virus travels through nervous system . More closer to brain the bite is , the more chances of rapid development of disease is there . In animals Mongoose rabies is of graeter importance as the bite of Mongoose is small in size and on limbs of animals usually which is sometimes ignored by owner.
Signs include hypersalivation , pharyngeal paralysis (hydrophobia), excessive barking (Ruminants : bellowing) and other nervous signs
As for as treatment is concerned, the best treatment is Prevention..
Vaccinate your animal to get rid of rabies .. We have to eliminate disease not animals so kindly do Vaccination of your domesticated and pet animals.

NasoGastric Intubation is an art to give liquids to Equine family.. Never Drench your Horse , Donkey or Mule like Ruminants as Drenching in them directly causes Aspiration Pneumonia . Always do NasoGastric Intubation in them.
