Having survived the trials of motherhood before, she's all too familiar with the stress of finding a safe haven for her offspring. with limited options, the garbage dump becomes her chosen nursery — a practical choice for a street dog. amidst the debris, she finds scraps sufficient for sustenance, while torn clothing and cardboard pieces offer a makeshift nest for her puppies. her experience as a mother has taught her to make the most of what little she has. what she didn't anticipate was the compassion of a stranger, who noticed her plight among the refuse. this kind individual Adnan of fresco rescue rescued her, transporting her to a place far removed from the life she knew. now, in the safety of a shelter, surrounded by gentle voices and caring hands, Sierra experiences an outpour of compassion for herself and for her unborn babies.

I was on my way to the school where I am a teacher. The cab driver hurried through the busy streets. Watching the road ahead of us, I saw in one of the grass bunches that grow out of cracks in the road, the little face of a kitten. The driver slammed on the brakes due to my shouting stop. Jumping out of the vehicle, I ran to the grass clump and gently took a frightened kitten into my arms and jumped back into the cab. For a moment I searched through my head for somewhere to home this little soul. Quickly calling a friend, he agreed to take the kitten. Safe in his home, I arrived at school 10 minutes late and with a big smile. It was a good day.

STREET NEWS: Rishikesh-Northern India. The Stairway.
In this captivating photo, a series of ancient stone steps leads up to the entrance of a temple. On alternate steps, jute sacks are laid out, creating a unique pattern that draws the eye upwards. The dogs take positions on the other alternate steps, each one lying down and sleeping soundly. These dogs remind me of celestial guardians, mirroring their often overlooked roles in our everyday lives. Their presence on the steps to the temple symbolizes to me a deeper, spiritual guardianship these noble creatures play on this earth in guiding humans towards a higher understanding and a deeper empathy.🙌
My father, a respected animal lover, saw during his travels down a particular street, a dog who was looking very unwell and defeated. He could see immediately this poor soul was suffering from mange and the look in the dogs eyes clearly told him, the dog was near to giving up. He contacted me and gave me the address, which I followed up as soon as possible. A person living in the area told me where the dog was and that he had been feeding him off and on. I told him of our shelter, which surprised him as he had no idea Animal Shelters were in our city. I asked him to tell as many people as he could that Fresco Animal Shelter is there for the well being of all animals. The dog was found and I saw he was fearful of being approached. I suspected he had been maltreated because of the way he looked, so with gentle persuasion, he came to let me take him to our shelter. We have named him Rohan. I hope with kindness, good food, medical treatment, Rohan will recover and feel much better about life. Now he is downcast and sad. I will make a special effort to help him recover physically and emotionally.
Attention plz.
Lost Case.

Street NEWS: A Living Link Between Past & Present. In the ancient city of Peshawar, Pakistan, an important international archaeological dig once buzzed with activity. Now, it lies abandoned, its deep excavations a silent witness to centuries long gone. But within this stark reminder of the past, a small, forlorn puppy sits bewildered. Wandering the streets, it had slipped under the steel fencing that guarded the site's ancient treasures and tumbled into the chasm below. Alone among the etchings and writings of ancient civilizations, the puppy sits in confusion, unable to comprehend its predicament. Perhaps the spirits of the ancients looked upon this tiny visitor with pity, for it wasn't long before a member of the Fresco Animal Shelter staff, drawn to the fence, peered down into the depths of the dig. The sight of the puppy, along with its plaintive whimpers, sparked a flurry of activity. A rescue mission was swiftly set up, not just to save the puppy but to reunite it with its mother, who was likely not far from the site. The successful rescue was met with great celebration, a brief but heartwarming interruption to the site's usual stillness. Once again, the dig returned to its quiet state, a place of reflection and homage to past glories, having briefly played host to a living link between the past and the present - a puppy.
These noble creatures, beautiful in their silent strength, bear the burdens of the world with unparalleled stoicism. Often exploited, yet eternally uncomplaining, donkeys possess a profound, almost ancient wisdom. It's as if they understand, in their quiet way, that voicing their hardships would change nothing in their toilsome existence. This quiet endurance. this unspoken grace has existed for centuries under the relentless weight of life.
STREET NEWS. Merry Christmas!
Street animals may not grasp the intricacies of our Christmas celebrations or other human complexities. However, during this festive season, their perceptive and contemplative gazes seem to acknowledge something profound. They seem to understand that when we, as humans, nurture peace and love within our own species, it heralds a time of compassion and care for them too. After centuries of coexistence on Earth, these animals patiently anticipate the long overdue flow of kindness to all, especially during these moments of celebration and joy.🙏🏽
The street was busy with activity, alive with the hustle of vehicles, trucks, and carts weaving their way through the crowded area. In the middle of this whirlwind of motion stood IceT, a figure of quiet and grace. Her body, heavily pregnant, bore the signs of impending motherhood, while her eyes, deep with contemplation, seemed to consider the future that awaited her and her unborn puppies. In this moment of vulnerability, one of our compassionate staff members approached her. With a mixture of trust and subdued grace, IceT followed him, her steps a blend of caution and relief, to the sanctuary of Fresco Shelter. Once inside, she was greeted with warmth and immediate care. We provided her with nourishing food and a safe haven, ensuring she would have a secure place to welcome her new family into the world. Within the protective walls of our shelter, IceT transformed from a street wanderer to a devoted mother. In just a week, she gave birth to a litter of seven, a testament to her strength. Though the harsh realities of life claimed two, five spirited puppies flourished under her tender care. This charming canine family now thrives in the safety and love of our shelter during these crucial early weeks. Our goal is to find loving homes for each of these adorable puppies, giving them the chance for a life filled with care and companionship. As for IceT, her journey with us will end with her being responsibly sterilized and immunized, ensuring her well-being when she returns to her familiar neighbourhood. In this cycle of care and compassion, IceT's story is one of hope, reminding us of the profound impact kindness can have on the lives of those who have known the harshness of the streets.
In a city where compassion towards animals is more often the exception than the rule, a rickshaw driver stands out for his empathy and moral commitment. Regularly interrupting his busy workday, Haider steps in to assist animals in distress, a tribute to his unique kindness in an environment often indifferent to the plights of animals. This strong man, with a kind face, doesn't hesitate to offer a helping hand. Upon encountering animals that need human intervention, he gently lifts the distressed or injured beings into his rickshaw, ensuring their safe transport to our shelter. Recently, on the busy streets of Peshawar , Haider's attention was caught by a handsome canine, whose neck had a deep wound. With a soft voice and gentle demeanor, he coaxed the injured dog, known as W***y, into his rickshaw and brought him to us. At our shelter, both were met with warmth and gratitude. now comfortable and nourished, is on the path to recovery. He will be healed, sterilized, and eventually go back to his neighborhood. Haider's return to his daily routine carries with it a sense of relief and satisfaction. His actions are an inspiring illustration of kindness in a setting where it's seldom seen.
In the serene ambiance of a well-maintained graveyard in Peshawar, Pakistan, a scene of nurturing and compassion unfolds. A majestic, tall dog, embodying elegance and dignity, stands as a symbol of life in the middle of the graves. She is tenderly feeding her puppies, showcasing nature's enduring cycle of care and sustenance. Nearby, the Manager of Fresco Animal Shelter and Rescue addresses a gathering of attentive citizens. His speech, infused with passion and understanding, focuses on the importance of animal rights and the necessity of interspecies compassion. This noble dog, once neglected, is now an accepted member of the community, thanks to the collective efforts of these compassionate individuals. Adnan's message is clear: kindness towards animals like this dog is akin to planting seeds in the fertile soil of respect, love, and generosity. These seeds, nurtured by the community's collective care, are destined to flourish, spreading the harvest of goodness and love far and wide.
In the age-worn streets of Peshawar Pakistan, where the hum of daily life blends with the distant call of the muezzin, a young woman found herself at a crossroads of compassion and tradition. As a woman in a society where family expectations often overshadowed personal desires, her decision to rescue a vulnerable, abandoned puppy was a silent rebellion, an act of bravery by a heart filled with empathy. The puppy, tiny and fragile, with eyes reflecting the harsh realities of survival on these unforgiving streets, had little hope. Yet, in the woman's arms, it found an unlikely heroine. She took the trembling pup home, defying the norms that seldom allowed such acts of kindness. Her family's initial resistance melted in the face of the puppy's innocence and the woman's determination. Later, she found a small, nurturing shelter where he was lovingly accepted and cared for. Fresco Animal Shelter and Rescue, an oasis in a changing world, was beginning to see a heartening trend. People from different walks of life were slowly stepping forward, encouraged by a growing empathy and compassion for other species. It was a sign that humanity was learning to step out from the shadows of indifference into the light of compassion. Her small act of kindness was a powerful illustration of the impact empathy can have in transforming both lives and communities.

Barclay, a dog who came to our shelter from another shelter in Islamabad, is thin and his beautiful russet and cream coat appears dull - a reminder of his hardships in life. In this country where dogs live on the brink of famine, his plight is a common sorrow. He has a wound on his back, a grim souvenir of a dog scuffle turned savage. Most of his wound was healed before he came to us from a shelter that was overcrowded. Yet, even as his physical scars mend, a viable shroud of melancholy clings to him. His spirit, bent by a hard life, bends under the weight of resignation. Barclay is wary of other dogs, holds the belief from experience on the streets that every hand might harm, every dog is a threat, the tale of survival in a world that offers little quarter to the weak. Barclay will be sterilized before he returns to his neighbourhood and his body will be fed and he will be cared for with kindness and compassion
In the busy streets of Peshawar Pakistan, a rickshaw driver, an unsung hero, extends his compassion beyond the normal. With a heart of empathy, he cradled a forlorn puppy in his arms and brought it to the sanctuary of Fresco Shelter. This tiny soul, prematurely torn its family, bore the scars of a terrible ordeal—its ears cruelly mutilated. Such savagery is the work of horrid individuals, driven by greed to transform innocent pups into profitable commodities - to try to make them look like certain breed dogs. Yet, when these defenceless creatures do not serve their twisted purpose, they are discarded like refuse. This is not the first time our kind-hearted Samaritan has driven his rickshaw to our doorstep, each journey bringing hope to another tail-wagger in agony. The puppy, christened Olsen by his rescuers, had wounds, infested with maggots that feasted on these tender, infected ears. The pain he endured is unimaginable. As we treated Olsen, extracting the maggots and nurturing him back to health, we couldn't help but honour the man who, in the middle of his daily work, stops to help the helpless. His actions are those of an extraordinary spirit, The profound good found hidden within humanity — a complex species marked by light and shadow, where imagination can dream of compassion and empathy illuminating the darker facets of human deeds and desires.
𝐂𝐢𝐜𝐢 is a beautiful dog who lives near a busy road and who over the last 2 years has become my friend. She is now living at 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 because we have arranged for her to be spayed. The mother to 2 previous litters of which few puppies survived, it is time to stop the cycle.𝐂𝐢𝐜𝐢 will return to her neighbourhood in a few weeks without the stressors of future motherhood. Our Vet will make certain she is in good health and fully vaccinated before she leaves us. Such a beautiful and calm girl would make an excellent companion. I am hoping to find a home for her, but sadly these events are far to rare in the city of Peshawar.
A thin dog walking slowly with his head down, and his body ravaged by wounds infested with maggots wandered the streets of Peshawar, going to market outlets hoping for a scrap of food. He was looked on by people, with disgust and fear, then sent away in a shower of rocks and bricks. The innocent dog who I have named Pepin, so weak from hunger had almost given up. I found him in this state and quickly picked him up, then biked over to the shelter. He was given nourishment, and attention which he loved as his tail was wagging and his eyes shone with warmth. The vet saw Pepin and began the treatment, along with removing the festering maggots. We watched over him carefully but Pepin's body suffering though all he had experienced in his short life, gave way to the peace of death. The team is very sad to have lost this fine dog and grieved for him. Rest In Peace Pepin. We will not forget you.
A young man Adnan joined our animal shelter staff without prior experience in caring for dogs or cats, treating them with a certain detachment. However, as he tended to them, a subtle transformation unfolded. He began to perceive each animal as a distinct being, imbued with its own essence and vibrancy of life. His initial indifference blossomed into affection, compelling him to rescue several from dire circumstances. This newfound compassion for animals deepened, and he eagerly instilled the same sensibility in his young children, recently welcoming a delicate kitten into their family. It demonstrates that when one’s eyes are opened to the intrinsic worth of all living creatures, that awareness tends to radiate outward, touching and perhaps changing the hearts of those around them.
A donkey dutifully guides a modest cart through the quiet street. The cart's burden is not heavy; it carries only a modest load. The donkey itself, while not thin, appears cared for, with trimmed hooves. Despite the ease of its task, there's an undeniable air of quiet resignation and melancholy about the donkey's demeanour that cannot be ignored. It's as if the donkey carries not just the cart's contents but also the weight of countless days like this one, each bringing a similar, unchanging routine. One can't help but admire the donkey's enduring spirit, silently bearing its endless, monotonous journey in alignment with the legacy of countless other donkeys over centuries, who have made heavy work bearable for their human masters. Yet, it's a poignant reminder of how often this noble spirit goes unnoticed, with gratitude and awareness for these gentle beasts of burden sorely lacking.
These children while playing or as walking down the road saw a puppy struck by a motorcycle. Feeling empathy and concern they rushed to pick up the injured little one. Knowing about Fresco Shelter, they carefully carried the 3 month old puppy to us and asked we heal his injury. Our gratitude was great. These children are our future drivers of compassion and kindness to animals. Invited back to visit their little friend, we watch them walk away knowing our work on awareness is taking seed in fertile ground.
Peanut a little dog who always is happy. Cute and friendly Peanut, became my friend when she was a growing pup. I came across her on my way home from work and stopped to greet her. This happened many times. We became friends, as I made sure she had food and was safe. A short time ago I noticed a growth on her belly. This was of concern to me so I brought her back with me to Fresco Shelter, which she was happy to do. The vet can examine her soon and treat her should this be necessary. If you are able, consider contributing to the care of dear Peanut, a delightful dog who makes everyone smile.
Children have rescued a young male puppy named Iggy, highlighting a growing compassion within our community. Recently, two children who knew of our shelter encountered a heartrending scene: a young puppy huddled beside his deceased mother. In his innocence, he clung to the only comfort he had known. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, they tenderly separated Iggy from his mother and, cradling him in their arms, walked three kilometers to bring him to our Shelter. Upon arrival, they relayed the sad tale and left us with Iggy's care, reminding us of his young age. We were deeply moved by the children's empathy and assured them of our commitment to Iggy's wellbeing. Their visit to the shelter not only allowed them to engage with Iggy and our other dogs but also affirmed the beginnings of a positive shift in how our community views and treats dogs. Our staff is touched by Iggy's rescue, seeing it as a sign of hope and a step towards a future where compassion guides us all. It is through acts like these that we witness the best of humanity coming to the aid of the most vulnerable among us.
Pakistan has a very large population of donkeys. Here we have one handsome donkey who I have named Sparky wandering in front of our shelter, peacefully chewing at vegetation before he later returns to his home. His labour in life, is to carry grass to a group of buffaloes. He appears happy.

I am the President of a Christian Colony located near Hazar Khwane Peshawar. Adnan one of the members of FRESCO animal shelter team not only invited me today but previously visited our colony. The dogs in Christian Colony had different health issues which he kindly treated and also took initiative of arranging for the spaying and neutering the dogs free of costs. Fresco Shelter is working on setting up a medical clinic under the supervision of Dr Ihsan , a veterinarian who will come for 4 days a week to tend to dogs in need, This project deserves support both physically and financially. I think its a great step toward the Welfare and well being of these innocent and voiceless creatures of God. located in our great city. I am pleased to say, as President of the Christian colony., we appreciate their efforts and hope you to support them as these voiceless souls do deserve a better life.
Title: 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐲: 𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 In a city where the prevailing attitude toward animals seems indifferent and often cruel, there exists a lady, who has a love for all creatures. One evening she heard the heart-wrenching cries of a young puppy in agony. The poor soul had fallen victim to a hit-and-run, leaving him lying helpless on the road. In the midst of apathy, this lady refused to turn a blind eye to his suffering. With tears in her eyes, she scooped up the wounded puppy and carried him away to her home, well aware that her family did not share her deep connection with animals. Nevertheless, she knew she couldn't leave the defenceless pup to his uncertain fate, for she understood the shared responsibility we have towards the creatures that inhabit this earth alongside us. In the early morning she brought him to Fresco Shelter, a sanctuary for vulnerable souls like this little puppy. With gentle hands and a voice filled with emotion, she asked for help to ease this suffering being's pain. The shelter's staff embraced the young puppy named Tuffy for his unwavering spirit. Tuffy, though his rear legs were weakened and semi paralyzed by the tragedy, displayed a determination that warmed the hearts of everyone who crossed his path. Despite the pain, he radiated life and joy, barking with enthusiasm and attempting to play with his fellow canine companions. His tail wagged like a spirited windmill, a testament to the resilience of innocent souls that touch us so deeply. Now, dear friends, Tuffy needs our help. His spirit may be strong, but he requires medical attention to mend disabled legs and restore him to full health. As Fresco Shelter continues his care, they are also seeking donations to help cover the cost of his much-needed surgery. In this heartfelt story of rescue, we are reminded of our profound respons
In a heart stopping scene, a little puppy named Syon found himself walking beside a bustling street, completely unaware of the potential danger that surrounded him. His innocent and youth was no shield to protect him from the chaos of the rushing cars. It is as if he was a tiny pebble to be crushed by the torrent of vehicles.Fortunately, a compassionate rescuer from Fresco Shelter spotted Syon just in time. With swift and caring hands, he gently lifted him away from the perilous roadside and brought him to safety at the shelter. Just take a moment to gaze into Syon's eyes – soulful, innocent and curious. having no inkling of how narrowly he had escaped harm, or even worse. Syon's story is a poignant reminder of the countless other puppies who come into this world, without a guide to navigate its harsh realities. Their stories evolve from every uncertain step they take. Some live, most not. The solution lies in our hands – a simple yet powerful trio of actions: spaying, neutering, and vaccinating. By suporting these crucial measures, we can play a role in taming the tides of stray dog populations. Each small act of kindness does not go unnoticed on other levels. Together, we can be the difference that Syon and countless others desperately need. Join us in this compassionate journey to make the world a kinder place for all creatures. Your support can ensure that more stories like Syon's have a chance to unfold in safety and love.
Meet 𝗟𝗨𝗖𝗬, another innocent victim of a heart-wrenching hit and run case. We learned about her dire situation through a compassionate post shared by a kind-hearted lady from Kohat. This poor dog endured the unimaginable – struck by a vehicle and abandoned, left to suffer while waiting for help that seemed elusive. The remarkable woman who posted about Lucy's accident not only brought attention to her plight but also went above and beyond to extend a helping hand. She provided much-needed nourishment and care for Lucy during her difficult days and even took on the financial burden of transporting her to our shelter. We applaud her incredible courage and unwavering compassion for animals like Lucy. Her actions shine as a beacon of hope, holding the light of compassion close to her heart. It is through the selflessness of individuals like her that we find hope in humanity and the potential to make a difference in the lives of innocent creatures. We sincerely hope that her inspiring gesture will touch the hearts of others, encouraging them to follow her lead and extend a helping hand to animals in need. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness, compassion, and positive change, fostering a world where human intervention becomes a lifeline for those voiceless beings who rely on us for their well-being. Lucy's story is a powerful reminder that acts of love and empathy can transform the lives of the most vulnerable among us
"Rescuing Toby: 𝐀 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 " story is one of both hope and distress. Discovered in a dire condition. Toby was found suffering from scabies, bearing the scars of an ear cutting incident, and enduring a broken front leg. It was evident that his owner had neglected him, failing to provide the essential medical care he urgently required, ultimately leading to abandonment. Witnessing this heartbreaking situation, our rescue team promptly brought him to the shelter, where he received the necessary medical attention and underwent a crucial surgery to alleviate his pain and improve his well-being. Toby's unfortunate situation is a stark reminder of the widespread issue of animal abuse and cruelty that countless innocent creatures endure daily. Regrettably, pain has become their constant companion. In the face of such distress, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vet Ihsan, whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in providing excellent treatment to this innocent soul, Toby. With the support of compassionate professionals like Vet Ihsan, we strive to alleviate the suffering of animals like Toby and work tirelessly to create a world where they are treated with the care and respect they rightfully deserve. Together, we can bring about positive change and advocate for the welfare of these vulnerable beings.
𝗧𝗼𝗯𝘆 is a new dog who came to our shelter with what we thought was a mild case of scabies but which turned out to be more severe. Toby is a kind soul, suffering and was needing help. Unfortunately friendly 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 a sweet female dog who has been with us for 2 years was infected along with some of the other dogs after 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝘆 arrived. Our vet gave them all the best treatment and supported us in our work to create separate spaces for new dogs. We are trying hard to make this happen, but we need more funds. The team is doing everything they can and we hope to have the separate spaces soon. I am so thankful to 𝗗𝗿 𝗜𝗵𝘀𝗮𝗻 for his kindness, his expertise and his dedication to the animals he cares for. It breaks my heart to see so many animals in need, but we have to face the reality of our limited resources. We want to help as many as we can, but sometimes it feels like it's not enough. I often lie awake at night, worrying about these precious creatures.
You may remember 𝗦𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗮, a sweet and now a healthy dog who found a safe refuge at 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫. She was the victim of children throwing stones at her, menacing her, and during the abuse from the children, her soft nature caused her to stand and not move. We rescued her and at this time Siela is still with us. She has been sterilized so this lovely girl will never have to go through the pain of losing her babies or watching them starve. Our Shelter arranges for stray dogs get spayed or neutered and vaccinated. This way, we prevent unwanted litters of puppies from suffering in the streets. There are so many dogs and so many babies born into terrible situations. There is so much to do.
Max is a wonderful dog who gets along with everyone. He came to our shelter after being rescued by one of our staff members, who found him injured by a gunshot wound on his leg. We don't know who would hurt such a gentle dog or what his past was like, but he has healed well and is ready for a new home. He has been neutered and vaccinated, and is looking for a loving family to adopt him. Until then, he will stay with us at the shelter, where he enjoys playing and cuddling with the other dogs and humans. Please consider supporting our work. There is much to do here in Peshawar for the destitute animals. Join our team by contributing a few dollars, we would be so pleased to have you support us. To help me continue my work, to sustain my efforts to sterilize dogs, immunization and community animal rights advocates please consider donating to this shelter and become an agent of change for compassion to all.
My readers may remember Spencer, the remarkable puppy who survived a cruel attempt to hang him by some children. He was rescued by Rasheed, my associate at the Shelter, who also educated the involved children on the spot, about the value of life and kindness. Spencer is now thriving at the Shelter, where he receives love, food, companionship and security. I commend Rasheed for his excellent work and I hope the children whom Rasheed taught about the importance of caring for and helping other beings, regardless of their species, and reinforced how they can make a positive difference in the world towards animals and other beings. Join me in celebrating the recovery and joy in Spencer's survival and his place in our shelter To help me continue my work, to sustain my efforts to sterilize dogs, immunization and community animal rights advocates please consider donating to this shelter and become an agent of change for compassion to all. Two adorable young puppies were unfortunately involved in an accident when they were struck by an auto-rickshaw while wandering down the road. Chocolate, the dark brown puppy, seemed shaken but thankfully unhurt. However, Scooby wasn't as fortunate and sustained an injury to his jaw. Fortunately, a kind-hearted neighbor of Fresco Shelters witnessed the incident and promptly brought the injured puppies to the shelter. It was a heartwarming moment for me to witness the positive impact of raising awareness among our neighbors about animal rights, dignity, and the importance of human involvement in their well-being. Both puppies will receive the necessary care and attention at the shelter. Chocolate will receive treatment for his injury, ensuring that he recovers in a safe and nurturing environment. We are committed to providing them with the best possible care during their stay at the shelter. Thank you for your concern and support in promoting the welfare of these innocent animals.
I'm so excited to tell you about our amazing plans for Fresco Shelter's new clinic and the challenges we are overcoming. We are building a functional medical clinic in this room that you can see here. It's still a work in progress, but we are not giving up. We have already received a generous donation of a cage from Tahira Animal Welfare Foundation - TAWF (Faisalabad), but we need more cages to provide post-operative care and isolation for dogs with contagious diseases like mange or skin infections. The most essential item of our clinic is the veterinary treatment table, where our vet can perform spay and neuter surgeries. We also want to install an air-conditioner to keep the dogs comfortable. I would like to share a story about my old friend Adnan, who has been volunteering at my shelter for some time. He went to a market that was far from our city in a mountainous area at the Daboori Market Khyber agency and witnessed a cruel scene. Some children were throwing stones at a dog, who was barking and growling in pain and fear. The locals had decided that this dog was dangerous and needed to be driven away or killed. Adnan, who has learned a lot about dog behavior and welfare from our shelter, intervened and showed them a different perspective. He approached the dog calmly and gently, offering him some food and petting him softly. The dog soon relaxed and wagged his tail, showing his friendly and loving nature. Adnan explained to the crowd that the dog was not aggressive, but only defending himself from the attacks. He also told them that dogs are intelligent and sensitive animals, who can be great companions and friends if we treat them with kindness and respect. He asked them to stop hurting the dogs and to teach their children to do the same. He said that dogs have the right to live peacefully, just like we do, and that they have many positive qualities that we can admire and learn from. He invited them to try to befriend the dogs in their area, by giving them some leftover food or a gentle pat, and see how they respond with gratitude and affection.
Toby - finally is being helped Manzar our associate found Toby in a terrible condition. He is infected with scabies, has a past. history of ear cutting and a broken front leg. His owner neglected him and did not provide any medical care and appears to have abandoned him. Our rescue team took him into the shelter for treatments and surgery. Toby is one of the many innocent animals who suffer from abuse and cruelty. Pain is their constant companion. I would like to Thanks Vet Ihsan who gave excellent treatment to this innocent soul. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ To help me continue my work, to sustain my efforts to sterilize dogs, immunization and community animal rights advocates please consider donating to this shelter and become an agent of change for compassion to all Fresco Animal Shelter Easy Paisa 03159089252 Haseeb Hassan Jazz Cash Haseeb Hassan 03051804730 Bank details A/c Title : Haseeb Hassan Bank of Khyber IBAN : PK53 KHYB 0073 0020 0602 2629 Branch Code 0073 Branch Name : Dalazak Road Peshawar Email : [email protected] Standard Chartered Bank Details Account Title: Haseeb Hassan Account No: 01-0154068-01 IBAN No 👇👇👇 PK98SCBL0000001015406801 Swift Code SCBLPKKX Branch Address : 35 Sharae Quaid The Mall Peshawar..
