We have new pupper at our shelter today! She was crying outside our shelter and we let her in and embraced Allah’s blessing with open arms. She is my little angel as she brought good news for me today. It’s true, Allah gives so much when you take care of His creation. We would love it if you would recommend some names for her, we have been thinking about “HONEY” as her new name, what do you think?

This is Tokyo, she came to us as the most hostile puppy we have ever seen. Imagine what she would have gone through on the streets for her to be so aggressive towards humans. She is a hit and run case though the limping in one of her hind legs can be fixed with an operation. Her hind leg was broken in an accident and seems to have healed incorrectly on the inside. Tokyo would be ever grateful if you could donate towards her treatment so she can ear her life as a normal dog. She is about 6-8 months old and deserves to live her life running around with other doggies that she is unable to do at the moment. Please be kind and donate as much as you can towards her treatment, if you can’t donate at least spread the word around on your social media. My shelter is mainly self-funded but with ever increasing brutality on animals, people want to dump animals at the shelter and we don’t have the resources to keep up with the increased number of puppies anymore. Put your hands together for TOKYO (we have named her in memory of Tokyo from Money Heist). She has warmed up to us and is not hostile anymore. The story goes that she was taken away from her mother and siblings from the streets because someone just wanted a toy in their home. She was later faced with an accident with a car/bike that broke her hind leg. Because she was not a pretty toy anymore, she was dumped by the same people who kidnapped her at a small shop in Old City, Lahore. At the shop some kind person started feeding her as she was limping and couldn’t fetch for food. It seems her fractured bone has joined other bones in a distorted manner, hence, she may keep limping. We will soon get her X-Ray done and figure out a treatment plan for her. You can donate to a Pakistan or UK bank account and/or PayPal. We are keeping this cutie warm! It’s a girl and she is taking her time to warm up to us. Today we got her vaccinated and dewormed. She has a slight disability in her hind leg and in due course we will try to figure out with the vet if the bone of the leg can be fixed. We are still looking for a name for her and also looking for donations for the shelter so that we can home more dogs like this pup. Apparently, she was abandoned by someone at a shop in old city Lahore because she got injured and no one wanted to keep her. She is a beautiful pup and we will keep you all posted about her progress. The pup with a slight hind leg disability has been rescued Alhamdulillah. The pup was extremely hostile, therefore, hats off to the reporters for bringing it all the way and being patient with the transfer Ali Hasnain. The pup refused to eat anything at first, however, warmed up after we gave it some hot milk. The pup is currently sleeping 💤 on a little bed we have given it. We believe the pup is a female, however, we can only confirm this properly in the morning 🙂! We lost Charm, Daisy, Bella, Angel in 2021, especially Daisy was a big loss for us as she died a premature and accidental death, hence, we are ecstatic 🤩 for having been given the opportunity to provide this little pup a home. We are not sure what to call the pup, suggestions for a name are welcome 🙏. Update on Brandy’s abortion: I made the right decision, Brandy is healthy and recovering in boarding at the clinic. For all the moral police who said it was a cruel decision to make and I will be cursed, why didn’t you all come forward for adoption of the strays? Millions of dogs are euthanised worldwide because they can’t find homes because of narrow hearts like yours. It would have been much more cruel to let them be born, have my dog suffer knowing her babies would suffer in this country where people are quick to moral police someone but have no logical argument and/or will to rectify the system. Let the rescuers do their work, we have to make practical decisions. Brandy is a day into her recovery and she seems much brighter and happier.

Update on abortion of my stray dog: It has been confirmed from ultrasound that my stray is pregnant with about 4+ pups who have developed into moving foetuses. After a long session of reflection I have decided to abort her pregnancy. Unfortunately, I don’t have the means to raise 4+ more dogs and I say this with a heavy heart that stray dogs are not adopted by anyone and/or looked after by the government authorities in Pakistan, hence, it is better to not bring a life into this world that have no means of survival and are not safe on the streets of Lahore. Had this happened in Istanbul, I would have gladly continued with the pregnancy because I would have been assured that the government authorities have a sustainable system in place to cater for stray dogs. I am getting my female spayed tomorrow along which her unborn foetuses will be aborted. It has been a tough decision, but I am more concerned about the health of my dog and also hopeless about the future of stray dogs in this country.

Bella passed away recently, I couldn’t even meet her in person. When you hit and run a dog and they get paralysed, no matter what the rescuers do for them, the life span of the dog decreases many fold. We have space for two more paralysed dogs in place of Charm and Bella, hence, please contact us if you come across any hit and run cases and/or dogs with disabilities. We will foster the dog at our shelter and let them live with dignity and love until the day they cross over to the rainbow 🌈 bridge.

Animal rescue community, I need your help in making a call on whether to terminate the pregnancy of my rescue dog or not. She could be about 3-4 weeks pregnant, however, this will be confirmed after the ultrasound tomorrow. Considering the policy ok dog culling where the authorities have been killing healthy stray dogs, it’s a no brainier that in the spirit of restricting the stray dog population I should terminate the pregnancy whilst ensuring the dog is healthy. However, as a woman it kills me to think that a pregnancy should be aborted - be it of a human being or an animal. My dog Pamper was pregnant once and she lost all her babies due to pyrometra - I really wanted her legacy to continue but it couldn’t. I am very confused and would really like help from the animal rescue community on the abortion.

For no reason I felt incomplete yesterday, I couldn’t point a finger at it. Then I realised it’s my 4th year without you Pamper. This is the day I lost you on earth. A lot has changed, I have more love to give to so many fluffy babies, but I still feel a part of my existence is gone. You were and will always be my best friend because humans are not worth it. This little Bubba is with us, however, the kitten has been dislocated from its family. If you have a family of cats, please let us know if you would like to adop it. The kitten is healthy and playful and was found stranded on the main road.

My beloved Daisy died in an accident yesterday. These have been tough times with Nymeria being lost or stolen and Daisy having passed away. I still cannot believe Daisy is gone and it’s definitely nazar 🧿 from some sick women who have nothing better to do than send negative energy my way and my loved ones way. Daisy was picked up by me on the street and was the most beautiful puppy I had ever seen with deep blue eyes. She was playful and naughty and absolutely healthy. She happened to jump over the fence and break her fragile neck which led to her immediate death (how strange is that). I hope she is having fun in heaven with Pamper, Charm, Snowy, (Maybe Chandler who was stolen), Angel, Simba, Penny, Silver, Kitty and many other angels who came into my life on earth. These babies are my pride and if anyone does anything to my pride, may karma hit them so hard that they are never able to get up again. I ask you all to say a little prayer for Daisy, she was so beautiful, as beautiful as the flower Daisy and was one of my favourites. God works in mysterious ways, but why was it her time now when she was only 1+ years old. I am devastated and hope Nymeria returns soon.

We had warned you before about JFK Animal Shelter run by Zufishan Durrani and her husband. The shelter is only used to earn money in the name of poor animals who are not even looked after! My dog Luna died because of their poor neglect! This is not a shelter, this is hell for animals! We request again that you DO NOT give any funds to this shelter. Have you heard of any other shelter being accused again and again of such atrocities on animals? This shelter is just a way of making quick money for this fam jam! This time Rosie Gabrielle has also finally seen the reality of JFK! She helped them get so many funds and look what happened! Please stay away from this shelter and only give your hard earned donations to the upright ones.

Who says stray dogs cannot be trained? This is Vodka at our shelter, he has learnt many commands including “Sit”, “Stay”, “Leave”, “Go Back” and many others. Vodka has also found a way to climb up the walls and spend the whole night in the Bedian Village fields. Twice we have also received complaints “Vodka ne hamari murghi kha li”, so we are still training him not to go for a kill but Vodka is a Good Boi 🤩. Happy Easter Weekend to Everyone!

[ANGEL IN HEAVEN (WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT)]: Angel lost her battle today to her internal injuries cause by some hell deserving "human being". I have deliberately posted her being buried so you can understand the consequences of your actions. We all make mistakes, but two things we can all do to save such accidents from happening are (1) let's not drive rash and keep within prescribed speed limits and (2) even if an accident happens at least have the decency to take the stray animal to the vet immediately for treatment. Angel's condition started deteriorating yesterday. We consulted two vets who both said they will not be able to do anything for her. We were warned anyway by the vets that she would not be able to survive long when Angel came to our shelter almost a month back because her injuries were internal and she had broken bones from waist down. Today her breaths slowed away over time until she was pronounced dead today by the vet. But the only reason I personally take even the most unhopeful cases in rather than putting them down is because I feel such animals' trust in humanity needs to be restored and that love is a force that can move mountains, a miracle just may happen someday. I feel it's not only our responsibility to make an animals life comfortable but also their time of death. Angel was loved and nurtured in her last days with us, she ate good food and made many friends, most of all she knew she was not dying alone (something we all fear the most). That said, did you know Angelina Jolie's first job was in a funeral home, something she forced herself to do because she could not cope with the idea of death. It's relatable to how I feel, how do you even pronounce someone dead and bury them, when do you actually accept a life no longer exists. This is a continuous struggle I have within myself when I witness the passing away of an animal, I am unable to give up hope on them and even when they are medically pronounced dead, I sit with them for hours in a shimmer of hope that they may come back. Angel may have breathed her last today but I know she still lives in a better place with no cruel "human beings", after all only angels deserve to be in heaven. She really had those angel eyes that shone with never give up hope on dogs like me and I never will. Thank you for coming to my shelter angel even for a brief period of time and I will see you with many others at the rainbow bridge. You look like a little angel sleeping in your resting place. Apologies for the long post but I feel every little star that has touched my shelter deserves a personal tribute.

We hate to inform everyone that Angel is not feeling well since today morning. We have informed the doctors who should reach shortly to check up on her. She is not eating or drinking even her favourite meals. Angel is a bad hit and run case because she has been paralysed waist down (not only the hind legs), which means her immune system is extremely weak and her intestines have also been majorly impacted. We are trying our best to save her, however, she is isolating herself and when dogs isolate themselves they know Allah’s angels are coming to get them to take them to rainbow 🌈 bridge because they know how painful this world has become for them. Look at her Angel face, we can just hope and pray. Please pray for Angel with us and if you want to contribute to her treatment please do, details are below:

How can people do this to these little angels? ‘Angel’ is now safe with us and has her own little kennel. She was apprehensive at first but overtime she has gained our trust and has started eating. She is very weak and we are trying to feed her as much as we can to make her healthy again. Unfortunately, her hind legs have no movement at all and there’s probably no chance she can start walking on four legs again. Just look at those innocent eyes, I can’t imagine how no one wants to make these babies a part of their homes.

[WELCOME ANGEL]: We cannot express how much we grieved after Charm left us but he opened our hearts to two new disabled babies. This is ‘Angel’ and she came to us just a couple of days ago. A kind gentleman found her and fed her until he could transfer her to us. She wasn’t eating at first but the lond soil gave her a blanket, chicken soup and call d us for help. She was on her own and God only knows what she was thinking about why we humans were so unkind to her to leave her in this state on the roads of Lahore. Angel is unfortunately very weak as she is a hit and run case and she wasn’t really able to fetch for food ok the streets. Look at those angel eyes, how could someone even do this to her and not look back to take her to a doctor. We are trying to make her comfortable, get her vaccinated and sort out a treatment plan for her. We really hope she survives, paralysis is always tricky as other organs in a dogs body also start malfunctioning due to injuries. We just can’t look at her sad eyes that speak stories of the atrocities humans have subjected her to. Let’s all pray Angel starts feeling at home with us. [WELCOME BELLA]: As Charm left us, he made space for this dog to receive some love from her Hooman as well. Special thanks to Shah for taking care of this baby and transferring her to our shelter. We have named her ‘Bella’ and she is responding well to the name. Bella is once again a hit and run case. For heavens sake stop driving like maniacs and when you hit an animal at least have the decency to take responsibility for your actions and take them to a vet for treatment. The consequences of your rash driving and not taking the injured dog for a treatment is them having a more miserable life on the road. I hope, whoever did this to Bella without once turning around to save her, burns in the fire of hell (Amen)! Whilst no one can replace Charm, we now feel a little better having helped Bella. Bella seems like a middle aged female dog and once again we have to give a disclaimer that paralysed dogs don’t last too long due to complications, however, she now has a home, will be loved by us and will live comfortably for the rest of her life. We are going to try and do Chinese therapy on her legs as they have some movement, however, we need your help. We would be grateful if someone can come forward and donate for her treatment. [AN HONEST LETTER TO 'CHARM']: Dear Charm, I am glad you went away peacefully in your sleep yesterday, having munched on your lunch and sleeping under the sun. What a peaceful way to go and somehow it gives me peace despite your loss, however, just when I built your kennel, you left (I wish you could enjoy your own little room in your lifetime). But let me have an honest chat with you. I saw your picture on FaceBook sometime in Oct 2019. Due to your hind legs having been paralysed by some do*****ag having run you over by a car, most rescuers were going to put you down in consultation with vets. I don't know which mother and father brought you in this world, but I do question many times whether it is right for God to create a life that He knows will be abandoned in this world (after all He is All-Knowing). Regardless, I don't believe in euthanasia so I decided to give your life a second chance. I know you were a relatively aged dog who was partly paralysed and so wouldn't last too long, but it's not how long we live but how deeply we live and you made me deeply fall in love with you. You came into my home while I was in London, however, the moment I touched you when I reached Pakistan, you somehow already knew who I am; your 'Hooman'. You were generally an aggressive dog having lived on the streets for most part of your life and having to protect yourself with your paralysis on the unkind streets of Lahore, but please tell me how did you just know it was me when I first met you, after all you're just a dog. I remember you being tangled in your chain in the middle of the night and asking for help, which somehow only I heard and when I untangled you, you just didn't want to let me go so I sat in silence with you under that starry night in Lahore just being at peace with our existence. You later went to the farm with many other babies I adopted and somehow again you surprised me by being the best herd and guard dog ever for the farm cows. You saved us from huge losses when some thieves tried to steal our cows. I was amazed at how well you adjusted to a home and family although you had lived on the streets for so long without any love and affection. I do give prayers to the person who noticed you on the road near Gulberg, Lahore and informed us of you. This picture is probably the last time I saw you in Dec 2020, remember how possessive you were about me, so much so that you would even get angry at me for touching another dog and somehow I loved that possessiveness. Now that I reflect back, you were my first dog with a disability. You have opened my heart to helping more dogs like yourself and look at the mysterious ways in which God works; you left me on 12th Jan and on the same day I received a message regarding another disabled female dog who we took in today on 13th Jan. Sometimes I wonder if you thought your time was up so that you could make space for another dog. But Charm, I could have kept you both, you didn't really have to go. I know we couldn't speak to each other, but do know that you were a one of a kind personality, someone who never gives up and makes himself loved. You have made a deep impact in your little time with me, so if you are with God, tell Him I need a lot more so I can help more dogs like you. I hope you have joined all the others and will wait for me at the rainbow bridge. Until then, you're now in heaven and I am sure you don't only have legs but you also have wings to fly. So run around and play around with all your friends with paws. Your body is buried in a marked place and I will hold on to your collar safely in memory of you. Thank you for coming into my life and giving me the opportunity to give you some love, which you probably never had. Sometimes I wish no puppies are born in a hell like Pakistan; people are unkind due to lack of ethics and lack of understanding of religion. If a dog is "paleet" how is it that all dogs will go to heaven but not humans. Running a shelter and seeing my friends lose their parents has made me realise death is not something in our control no matter what we do. In an unfortunate way I am getting used to the idea of losing those around and don't know if it is good or bad. I couldn't eat for days if someone died before, now I eat as normal and can find the on/off button to my crying. Anyhow, it's a long letter and you must be looking forward to playing around; I can see the angel wings and circle on your head. I will forever miss you and be your Hooman. So until we meet again. [PLEASE DONATE FOR THE VOICELESS AND YOURSELF]: At uncertain times like these, it may just be the prayers of the voiceless that can help save us and our families. In many ways I believe that when God bestows us with health and wealth, it becomes our responsibility to share it for the safeguarding of His creations, more so the ones who cannot speak for food or when they are in pain. I have a firm belief that only when humans start saving animals, is when humanity will redeem itself. Therefore, I urge you all to act as responsible human beings alongside myself and donate so that I can complete the construction of this small shelter. A friend of mine even said to me today "Sana you can't save everyone"; indeed I can't change the world, but I can change the world for that one animal by saving them and giving them a warm shelter to stay in until some angel comes to adopt them for good. Some of you donated and some even donated unconditionally without the need for recognition (you know who you are). One person donated without even having given me a heads up (I don't know who you are but I can tell you the voiceless angels prayers will give you much more than you donated). The total cost of basic construction has come up to PKR 180,500, of which only PKR 60,000 have been raised so far. Don't let the voiceless lose faith in humanity, therefore, I urge you to donate generously. We will need even more funds over this amount to place tiles and paint the kennels. If you know anyone who owns a tile or paint company, please check if they can donate these materials to us. We also requested for unwanted sweaters for our shelter babies but so far have received none despite many queries in our inbox. I know it's cold and you may not want to get out of the comfort of your homes, but imagine how uncomfortable these animals are during peak of winters. Please do your part with me, all rescuers would appreciate if you share their burden just a little. The details for donations are as below, be kind always, it goes a long way.

We can name a kennel in the memory of your deceased pet and/or name it after any of your beloved (we will leave that up to you). Winter is already here and our puppies are badly in need of their own little cosy rooms. The pup with a slight hind leg disability has been rescued Alhamdulillah. The pup was extremely hostile, therefore, hats off to the reporters for bringing it all the way and being patient with the transfer @fahadchaudary Ali Hasnain. The pup refused to eat anything at first, however, warmed up after we gave it some hot milk. The pup is currently sleeping 💤 on a little bed we have given it. We believe the pup is a female, however, we can only confirm this properly in the morning 🙂! We lost Charm, Daisy, Bella, Angel in 2021, especially Daisy was a big loss for us as she died a premature and accidental death, hence, we are ecstatic 🤩 for having been given the opportunity to provide this little pup a home. We are not sure what to call the pup, suggestions for a name are welcome 🙏.
