[UPDATE ON CASPER & MURREE BEER]: Do you all remember Casper and Murree Beer? Last month they came to Pamper's Animal Shelter paralysed with no hope of walking ever again and leading a normal dog life. Casper’s operation was somewhat successful but the doctor basically asked me to put down Murree Beer as his operation was too complicated and did not take place. I instead put my trust in Allah as life and death is in His hands only. Today ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ both Casper and Murree Beer are not only walking, they are running! Thank you to all who contributed for Casper, if anyone wants to contribute in the blessed month of Ramadan for Murree Beer as well, please inbox me. Overall, Murree Beer’s medical expenses have been around Rs 50k.
UPDATE ON “MURREE BEER”: He didn’t have a name and was paralysed due to a spinal cord injury. We have now named him MURREE BEER 🍺. Okay I know I come up with weird names but it sounds nice on this furball. He was sent to the clinic for a surgery, however, upon sedating him and opening his spinal for injury the doctor found that it wasn’t safe to operate and his spinal cord pieces were way inside. He was given drips as he wasn’t eating properly before as he couldn’t urinate and defacate himself and he was also given some physiotherapy. The doctor did suggest that it’s a 50/50 chance he may get better or he may not at all and his life will be miserable. The doctor suggested an option is to “put him down” — I am strictly against putting animals down. Life and death is with Allah and I don’t believe in taking it upon me to decide someone’s death. MURREE BEER has now been taken to the Pamper's Animal Shelter and we will feed him, physio him and see how it goes. He may get better or he may not, but he will live the rest of his life as our beloved family member with ample clean food to eat and a name.
A SAD STORY OF A STRAY DOG: He doesn’t have a name and has been surviving on leftovers from a “jhuggi”. He has no one to love him and call him part of their family. Cherry on top someone ran over him and damaged his spinal cord leading to his sudden paralysis. His spinal cord is broken and he is unable to eat and excrete. He is now at our designated vet where we are trying to figure out the next course of action for him. He is on drips as he can’t eat. His surgery means he may have a 20% to 30% chance of leading a normal doggie life again. Not sure what he did to deserve this life and then being run over by some irresponsible human being. Should you want to donate for his surgery and name him, please DM me.
NEW CASE: A new case has come up of a paralysed dog who has been living next to a “jhuggi”. He has never had proper food in his life and has been living on leftovers. The dogs hind legs have stopped working (could be a hit and run case) and the reporter has dropped him to our designated vet. We will update you shortly on what the issue is. I willl not be taking anymore cases otherwise my mom will kick me out of the house. Should anyone wish to donate for this champ, please DM me. He doesn’t have a name as well, so if anyone wants to suggest a name please write in comments.
CASPER UPDATE: Post operation Casper is feeling better and has also started barking. The first day he was in unimaginable pain and shaken to the core, like “what did I do to be run over”. Let’s hope for his speedy recovery and that he is able to walk and run again. Casper is still in boarding, so please help us cover his medical bills.
CASPER UPDATE: Casper underwent surgery yesterday and this is him recovering post op from anaesthesia. We have not managed to collect any donations, please spread the word and if you’re feeling generous please help us cover his medical bills.
Honey’s first shower 🚿. She is getting nice and clean and has had herself adopted by us. She wishes everyone is kind to puppies like her and wishes you all a Happy Monday! 🐶
Put your hands together for TOKYO (we have named her in memory of Tokyo from Money Heist). She has warmed up to us and is not hostile anymore. The story goes that she was taken away from her mother and siblings from the streets because someone just wanted a toy in their home. She was later faced with an accident with a car/bike that broke her hind leg. Because she was not a pretty toy anymore, she was dumped by the same people who kidnapped her at a small shop in Old City, Lahore. At the shop some kind person started feeding her as she was limping and couldn’t fetch for food. It seems her fractured bone has joined other bones in a distorted manner, hence, she may keep limping. We will soon get her X-Ray done and figure out a treatment plan for her. You can donate to a Pakistan or UK bank account and/or PayPal. Please be kind to the voiceless who will give you many silent prayers for your donations.

The pup with a slight hind leg disability has been rescued Alhamdulillah. The pup was extremely hostile, therefore, hats off to the reporters for bringing it all the way and being patient with the transfer @fahadchaudary Ali Hasnain. The pup refused to eat anything at first, however, warmed up after we gave it some hot milk. The pup is currently sleeping 💤 on a little bed we have given it. We believe the pup is a female, however, we can only confirm this properly in the morning 🙂! We lost Charm, Daisy, Bella, Angel in 2021, especially Daisy was a big loss for us as she died a premature and accidental death, hence, we are ecstatic 🤩 for having been given the opportunity to provide this little pup a home. We are not sure what to call the pup, suggestions for a name are welcome 🙏. Should anyone want to sponsor this pup on a monthly basis as a sadqah for themselves or a loved one who’s deceased, please inbox us. You can donate to a Pakistan or UK bank account and/or PayPal. Please be kind to the voiceless who will give you many silent prayers for your donations.

We went to check up on Brandy at the clinic today, my #cutenesskidukaan. She is recovering well and was not willing to let me go! Just look at this mad cuteness and we hope it makes your Monday 😍
Update on Brandy’s abortion: I made the right decision, Brandy is healthy and recovering in boarding at the clinic. For all the moral police who said it was a cruel decision to make and I will be cursed, why didn’t you all come forward for adoption of the strays? Millions of dogs are euthanised worldwide because they can’t find homes because of narrow hearts like yours. It would have been much more cruel to let them be born, have my dog suffer knowing her babies would suffer in this country where people are quick to moral police someone but have no logical argument and/or will to rectify the system. Let the rescuers do their work, we have to make practical decisions. Brandy is a day into her recovery and she seems much brighter and happier.
Decided to abort ny stray dogs pregnancy
Update on abortion of my stray dog: It has been confirmed from ultrasound that my stray is pregnant with about 4+ pups who have developed into moving foetuses. After a long session of reflection I have decided to abort her pregnancy. Unfortunately, I don’t have the means to raise 4+ more dogs and I say this with a heavy heart that stray dogs are not adopted by anyone and/or looked after by the government authorities in Pakistan, hence, it is better to not bring a life into this world that have no means of survival and are not safe on the streets of Lahore. Had this happened in Istanbul, I would have gladly continued with the pregnancy because I would have been assured that the government authorities have a sustainable system in place to cater for stray dogs. I am getting my female spayed tomorrow along which her unborn foetuses will be aborted. It has been a tough decision, but I am more concerned about the health of my dog and also hopeless about the future of stray dogs in this country.
Aborting a stray dog?
Animal rescue community, I need your help in making a call on whether to terminate the pregnancy of my rescue dog or not. She could be about 3-4 weeks pregnant, however, this will be confirmed after the ultrasound tomorrow. Considering the policy ok dog culling where the authorities have been killing healthy stray dogs, it’s a no brainier that in the spirit of restricting the stray dog population I should terminate the pregnancy whilst ensuring the dog is healthy. However, as a woman it kills me to think that a pregnancy should be aborted - be it of a human being or an animal. My dog Pamper was pregnant once and she lost all her babies due to pyrometra - I really wanted her legacy to continue but it couldn’t. I am very confused and would really like help from the animal rescue community on the abortion.
