Second Chance Wildlife Committed to the rescue and care of injured, trafficked and poached wildlife in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Second Chance Wildlife (‘SCW’) was created in September 2023 by a group of individuals committed to the rescue and care of injured, trafficked and poached wild animals in the Islamabad Capital Territory of Pakistan. SCW intends to actively prevent illegal wildlife trade by conducting rescue operations in cooperation with IWMB; nursing rescued or injured wild animals back to health; resettling them in their forever homes; and educating the public on the crime’s economic and environmental impact.

At the Second Chance Wildlife Rescue and Healing Center, our main goal is to reintroduce animals in their natural habitat once they have recuperated from their injuries. We are happy to report that since November, and in partnership with Islamabad Wildlife Management Board - IWMB, we have released 24 kites back into the Margallah hills after they were cleared by our veterinarian staff.

Some of the animals we rescue cannot be returned to the wild after rehabilitation. For example, these "exotic" white peacocks are not suitable for release. In this case, we find them a suitable forever home where they can have a great life in a comfortable environment. In this case they have be relocated to the Isloo Fresh farm in the hills of Islamabad.
