🦜White cockatoo(Cacatua alba)

The white cockatoo was described by Philipp Ludwig Statius Müller in 1776❗️🦜❤️

The white cockatoo parrot, as its name suggests, is overwhelmingly white, while the inner part of its wings is slightly yellow. It has a massive and hooked, grayish beak❗️🦜❤️

In the wild the parrot can be found only on a few Indonesian islands. The bird is very often brought under the roof of carers all over the world, unfortunately, it is an endangered species in its natural conditions❗️🦜❤️

White cockatoos are diurnal and very sociable birds❗️🦜❤️

The cockatoo is a bird with an exceptionally large beak and an even larger heart❗️

Which foods should never been given to hedgehogs❓

When feeding hedgehogs, remember that our spiky friends do not tolerate lactose❗️ So never feed them with milk or other dairy products.💚❤️

It is not only lactose that must be avoided. Other products that hedgehogs should not eat include:

➡️sweets,
➡️seasoned foods,
➡️pork,
➡️and citrus fruits.

Note that the food given to hedgehogs should be at the right temperature, preferably room temperature.🌡❤️

An interesting phenomenon associated with pygmy hedgehogs is their “collecting" of odors from the environment.❤️🖤

When a hedgehog is exposed to a new scent that it has not encountered before, it licks the object and then wriggles its body and salivates its backside.❤️🖤

The origin of this phenomenon has not been clearly defined by experts. The most likely explanation seems to be that this is how hedgehogs try to pick up scents from their surroundings, which in a natural setting may guarantee them better camouflage from some of the hostile animals.❤️🖤
