We just flew back from PR with Neo, a stunning, one year old flame point kitty! He is healthy, friendly, and has an appointment to get neutered in December. He has lived with other cats and dogs and would probably do well in most homes. In this video you can see he is a bit stressed out and confused, as is normal when kitties first arrive at a rescue. We rescued sweet kitten Junior with his entire litter a little over a month ago. He had many people wanting to adopt him, but unfortunately, he developed a kitty cold and we had to take him off the market. He has now recovered, and in the meantime, we have discovered that he is deaf, like many white kittens with blue eyes. However, this does not slow him down in the slightest! *PLEASE HELP!* Today we had to bring two of our kitties to the vet for serious health problems. Sweet Siamese boy Sammy suddenly lost his ability to use his back legs. He did not get injured as he has been inside our quarantine room since he arrived several months ago. He was sick when we first got him, and then we were able to treat him and he recovered and we brought him to be neutered, vaccinated, and combo tested in July. He got a clean bill of health, but was very scared, and so we did not want to overwhelm him by putting him with all the rest of the cats too soon. But this week we noticed that he was dragging his back legs, which is very serious and very concerning!
We also brought sweet gray and white kitty Juniper to the vet because she had a very large swollen area under her jaw.
This vet visit cost us over $700, which we really do not have available at this time. We are still waiting for test results to come back. Please donate if you can! We cannot taken more animals until this vet bill gets paid because we need to have enough funds to cover their care. So if you could donate to help us with this vet bill, we would be grateful! *PLEASE DONATE!* We just rescued these 5 tiny, starving kittens from the streets of Puerto Rico! There is a brother/sister seal point pair and the other 3 are a group of siblings with a snowshoe, a lynx point, and a torti. We will be adopting them in pairs and maybe we will find someone to adopt the litter of 3 together! They are too tiny and fragile to adopt right now, but they should be ready to go to new homes within a month, once we get them healthy and get some meat on their tiny bones! We will post pictures and updates soon. If you think you would like to adopt, either the pair of seal points or the litter of three, please let us know! We will not be adopting any kittens out as singles.
As you know, it cost a lot of money to save these sickly kittens from the streets, get them healthy, and get them into loving forever homes. We go through a ton of high-quality cat and kitten food every month and we are very low on our supplies right now.
