On a recent trip to Puerto Rico I discovered 6 abandoned puppies in an empty garage. Upon posting of these adorable little puppitos, Nicole Michel insisted we do something to help them. I cleaned the garage they were in while she shared their story and now here we are. After speaking to some of the local neighbors and realizing how overwhelmed shelters have become out here, we decided to start up
a page to connect shelters/ locals/ vacationers with a way to get puppies into loving fostering or forever homes in the US. As we literally just started this today, we have already received an incredible amount of support from Puerto Rican’s and people in the states looking to help in anyway they can. For now we are mainly focusing on the Manati / Mar Chiquita / Vega Baja area. This is non-profit for both Nicole and I and all proceeds will be used to vet the puppies and transport back to the States. If anyone is looking to assist with the transportation or process of getting this done we would greatly appreciate any help. All volunteers can reach out to this page and we will be in contact. En un viaje reciente a Puerto Rico descubrí 6 cachorros abandonados en un garaje vacío. Al publicar estos adorables cachorritos, Nicole Michel insistió en que hiciéramos algo para ayudarlos. Limpié el garaje en el que estaban mientras ella compartía su historia y ahora aquí estamos. Después de hablar con algunos de los vecinos locales y darnos cuenta de lo abrumados que se han vuelto los refugios aquí, decidimos iniciar una página para conectar refugios / lugareños / vacacionistas con una forma de hacer que los cachorros se conviertan en hogares de acogida amorosos o para siempre en los EE. Como, literalmente, comenzamos esto hoy, ya hemos recibido una cantidad increíble de apoyo de los puertorriqueños y de personas en los estados que buscan ayudar en todo lo que puedan. Por ahora nos estamos enfocando principalmente en el área de Manatí / Mar Chiquita / Vega Baja. Esto es sin fines de lucro tanto para Nicole como para mí y todas las ganancias se utilizarán para examinar a los cachorros y transportarlos de regreso a los Estados Unidos. Si alguien está buscando ayudar con el transporte o el proceso de hacer esto, agradeceríamos mucho cualquier ayuda. Todos los voluntarios pueden acceder a esta página y estaremos en contacto.
