💉 There are many variables that come into play when deciding if heartworm preventative is necessary for your pet—location, temperature, humidity. While it may not be possible in all environments to have our pets prevention be completely chemical-free, I don't use injectable heartworm prevention.

Long-acting injections may seem convenient, but once given, there is NO antidote to reverse side effects which may include the following adverse reactions: anaphylaxis, vomiting, diarrhea (with and without blood), listlessness, weight loss, seizures, and death.

All vets should own this book.
Use of fresh whole foods and less overuse of vaccinations and drugs is as important for our dogs immune systems as it is for ours- Well done Dr Rodney Habib and Dr. Karen Becker for waking up the world to nutrition and better health for our pets!

On her last day of work for a veterinary centre, a raw-feeder bought all these books with her own money and handed them out to the staff.

Wonderful!!
At last the world is becoming more aware about dog nutrition. Unfortunately some vets will still remain in the dark ages and will still try to convince you to feed those little balls of dry cardboard-like pellets that they call kibble, and try to con you that you’re giving a ‘balanced diet’ !
Well done Dr. Karen Becker for taking on this huge challenge to create awareness and remind the world that ‘goodness’ can not be found in processed foods for us OR our dogs.
As Dr Karen Becker says: ‘many vets didn’t go on to get functional medicine and additional nutrition training, so they don’t understand the picture beyond their 4 years of medical school’
If you want to feed your dog healthy real whole foods, and possibly even B.A.R.F, there is plenty of information and help out there!
Or will you continue to throw a cup of dry cereal in your companions bowl every day of their life, because it’s easier?
Would you feed it to your child every day? 🤔 Dogs need real food too. 😉

I graduated from Vet school in 1997 with one core, lifelong mission: make things better for animals, no matter what. This has come with a cost; constant attacks from Big Pet Food, Big Pharma and sometimes my beautiful colleagues (that didn’t go on to get functional medicine and additional nutrition training, so they don’t understand the picture beyond their 4 years of medical school). But over the last several decades we’ve successfully created a ripple, then a wave, and now a tsunami of change…. So much awareness that fresh pet food startups are the fastest growing segment of the Pet Food industry 🦾. When change is desperately needed and the door of knowledge and awareness is opened, a flood of evolution occurs 🌊, and that’s what’s happening in the pet food industry right now. I am lecturing at a conventional pet food trade show in a few weeks because you’ve asked for it 💥. Change is happening because people know more. 🐾 60 days until our longevity recipe book is available to pet lovers, worldwide🥳❣️This makes me ecstatic for two reasons. As a wellness veterinarian, I know diet and immediate living environment are the biggest factors for creating exceptional health, delaying aging and avoiding degenerative disease for all species (people and pets). It breaks my heart that most pets eat ultra-processed dog or cat food their whole lives, giving them little hope of experiencing a thriving, resilient microbiome or having access to the antioxidants, polyphenols and bioactives found in real foods that are needed to create exceptional wellbeing.

This lovely lady Darcy thoroughly enjoyed her trial sleepover.
Darcy loved her morning strolls and little adventures, and she has already made some nice new friends. She appreciated peace and quiet and getting comfortable for her afternoon naps. All in all, Darcy’s experience was thoroughly enjoyable and she has made her reservation for her upcoming holiday . Can’t wait to see you again Miss Darcy!🥰🌸
