Save the date - Friday 28th October from 1pm to 5pm @parkviewvets we will have our ADOPTION DAY 🐕🐈
Come to see our gorgeous fur babies if you are interested to foster or to adopt one of them - it will be a huge support for us during our difficult time ❤️
It has been a couple
Of weeks full of shocking news and inhumane animal attacks but, among these disgraceful events, we are able to share some really good news.
Couple of weeks ago, an individual rescuer contacted us asking if we had space enough at our shelter to take in a mummy and 10 puppies of few days only.
We were afraid we had to say no to that request since we have, still, a huge bill to go through to cover, a long and exhausting renovation at our shelter which takes too much time than what expected, low adoption rates for our dogs and not enough space, therefore, to have such a huge family in.
Sarah was going on vacation the next day and she managed to go to the location every day, three times per day, to feed them.
The next day, that message was all in our minds: summer pick time, heat of 45/48 degrees, no proper shelter since the family was along the main residential street under a tree covered only by a blanket to get them a bit of shade.
A group of volunteers decided to go to the site with some additional home food and cold water and that’s was the plan actually, just taking care of the family till Sarah was back in town or till we could find an alternative but… we were not ready for what we saw there.
Their condition needed a very prompt help and push - we could not go to sleep thinking of her and the puppies laying in the sand with that temperature.
Thanks to the amazing help of Sarah’s friend, Rosemary and her husband, we were able to rescue the whole family.
We asked the company dealing with our renovation at the shelter to work day and night to finish all the works in one of the two indoor dog’s rooms and we made it!!!
We left behind a beautiful boy, a black dog, Sarah told us he was the boy from a previous litter but we knew he was in good hands as Rosemary kept feeding him in the meantime.
Sarah was absolutely a dog’s whisperer: she took the boy to her garden one day and we were able to reunite the whole family.
We were jumpi
PART 2 -HUSKY MISSION…
There is a lesson to learn out of this event in any case.
Whoever would like to report a case of animal abuse please make sure you can add as much as info as you can to help any emergency response teams, like:
1. Sharing your details (tel contact, WhatsApp number) to be in touch with you to get additional info
2. Taking videos or pictures of of the animals involved (to report officially to the authorities in case or to have a proper visual match in case of any research) and share them privately to known shelters/associations/individual rescuers
3. Pictures are important too to determine the conditions of the animal (like sicknesses or dehydration or similar)
4. A small description of the pet in terms of behaviors for the rescuers to be ready with tools and food and/or similar
5. Share the actual location privately only with official and validate rescuers and/or shelters (do not post it along with your stories or posts to avoid attracting wrong profiles and eyes)
6. Post your stories on different shelters and associations pages for us to share it internally
7. If you can and if you are confident, please stay at the location while waiting for any emergency response or, at least, make sure the pet can have food and water and a small shelter
8. Be ready to participate during the research or to return to the location itself to help the groups there
9. Try to look within your contacts possible fosters and/or adopters: shelters and various associations are overwhelmed with the number of cases and we can only save lives if we have a space available or knowing someone is willing to take the animal in asap
10. Offer yourselves to cover potential charges at the vet clinic for treatments, vaccinations and similar: again shelter and associations might be not in good shape to absorb costs and expenses
It takes a village to help but the outcome is so rewarding especially when you give abused animals another chance to have such a deserved life 🙏
PART 1 - HUSKY MISSION…
Couple of few weeks ago on Saturday we have been alerted in the morning about a inhuman act of animal cruelty: two huskies dumped (or maybe just run away from their owners once there (???))on Al Saflyia Island with this heat and horrible weather with no food supplies or any sort of shade.
We partnered with beautiful and amazing rescuers (@n_bin_m and @hamad_bo_turki) who did not hesitate to do the right thing in this massive dog search mission.
Our most sincere thank you goes to our friends @mme_qatar who, after listening to our request, they did not hesitate to provide us with one of their speed boats to launch us in the middle of our emergency mission.
We are afraid to inform you our mission did not end up well: Dogs were not there or, we prefer to think, someone was faster than us and they were rescued earlier before our arrivals instead of thinking of the poor babies having a heat stroke or drowning for some reasons…
We would like to take this opportunity to thank as well the community to be so proactive to alert different realities like individual rescuers or shelter and/or other associations.
TO BE CONTINUED…

We need help to build inside kennels! We need a portacabin, wood, wire net, screws and manpower.... it us very hot outside for our dogs and we hope, with your help, to be able to put them indoor this summer! If you want to help us please send us a pm!
Our beautiful Sofia today visited Parkview Pet Center - Qatar for her check up and vaccinations! After being abandoned tied up to our gate and almost hanged, she is still trusting humans! She is very sweet and joyful, unluckily she does not cope very well in being in a kennel. She really would love a home all for herself. She is around 6 months, good with other dogs, still to be tested for cats, adorable with kids!
Contact us if you want to become her family!
