Hi everyone !

I'm so excited to help you by great tips and information on how to keep your horse healthy and happy.

Now I prepare two questions about how to know normal temperature, pulse and respiration parameters in adult horses and you will be able to get the best answers

🔹WHAT IS IMPORTANT?

° Knowing the `normal` temperature, pulse and respiration rate for your horse that means you will recognize if values are abnormal.

° If there is no reason for a change in parameters such as resent stress or exercise, seek veterinary advice.

° If your horse is showing any signs of illness or discomfort despite having normal parameters, or if you have any concerns, veterinary assistance should be sought.

NORMAL RANGES :-

¶ Heart ( pulse ) rate

28 _ 44 beats per minute

¶ Respiratory ( breathing ) rate

8 _ 16 breath per minute

¶ Temperature

37.5 _ 38.5 °C

🔸WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

° There will be variation between individual horse's snd each horse will have different `normal` value for them. This is because of the value depend on age, size of the horse and the level of illness. Heart rate and respiratory rate can be increased in horses who are experiencing pain for any reason, or when the horse becomes ill.

° regular taking your own horse's puls rate, respiratory rate and temperature is important as it will provide you the knowledge of what is normal for your horse.

° Some horses may have values which are consistently out of the ‘normal’ range in a similar way to some humans. This may not be
any cause for concern. However, in these cases it is advisable to have the horse checked by a veterinary surgeon to ensure there
are no underlying conditions.

Wish you a good day...

Healthy & happy horse 💙
