Merry Christmas to you and your 4-legged friend 🐾🐾

I feel the need to slow down, reflect and simplify. Christmas can mean different things to different people and Christmas time can provide a lot of light and healing energy.

We can sometimes get caught up in the stress of our own expectations and others.

That’s the beautiful balance of coming back to the now.

A constant practice and our dogs are experts at reminding us✨

Hundlivet handlar om dig! Hur du mår. Hur du väljer att ändra ditt perspektiv längs vägen.

Hur du väljer dig och din hund utan att jämföra dig för mycket med alla andra.

Den tiden du tar till dig själv, ger mer lugn i ditt hundägarskap.

Att ständigt vara orolig och se olika saker som kanske ’kan’ hända gynnar inte dig och din hund.

Se situationen för vad den är och ta bra beslut framåt på DIN väg.

Våga heja på dig och ha omsorg för dig och där du har varit.

Vi är många som hejar på just dig 🪶🐾

Kids baking and puppy resting 🎄

I’m just observing. A lot of the puppy’s life is to observe and watch how the pack/family moves around in the house.

This is best done without us humans constantly talking, petting, entertaining the puppy (dog).

Yes, it can be challenging to just ‘be’ with your dog without engaging physically all the time but the long term relationship and bond you create with your dog is amazing.

My pup is sleeping next to me and I enjoy the moment - just as it is.

Later, I will do a recall and pet him also ~ best of two worlds ♡

Our newest pack member: Dakota💫

He is a Rhodesian/Doberman etc. mix and you might know that my first dog was a Rhodesian Ridgeback so ☺️🤎

He is 3 months old and already settling in the pack with the others.

As with all my dogs, there’s a story about how he came into my life and it’s such an exiting time for me to observe the pack behavior ~ my passion and share with you🐾

Jag är så tacksam att jag valde att gå kursen körkort i hundkommunikation. Den har givit mig sådan förståelse mellan mig och min hund.

Innan jag lyssnat på dig så trodde jag nästan alltid att de var min hund de var mest fel på, men nu efteråt och när de gått ett par månader så inser jag att de är jag som varit problemet och aldrig riktigt förstått att han var rädd, stressad och väldigt vaktande.

Jag har lärt mig att vara mkt lugnare och när min hund som fortfarande skäller en hel del, får utfall, skäller på tåg mm så tar jag allt med ett helt annat lugn, samt att jag är tyst, klappar och tittar inte.

Har fått mera energi för jag har insett att de går inte att få kontakt med en hund som är superstressad. Innan kursen ryckte jag i kopplet, höjde rösten att han skulle sluta skälla, blev jätte irriterad samt arg för att varje promenad var rent ut sagt en plåga!

Så tack för alla underbara råd och tips hur man kan förstå sin hund på ett så lugnt och fint sett men också så respektfullt.

Självklart behöver jag lyssna om och om igen så att allt till slt kommer sitta i ryggraden, så min resa med den tysta hundkommunikationen har bara börjat😁

Many dogs don’t know how to be still.

The dogs demand constant activation and the dog owner is doing everything they can to ‘make sure the dog is not bored’ - activating... toys, food, commands, training...

Working together is great, doing something together is great BUT when it becomes a demand that you have to do it to be a GREAT dog owner and help your stressed dog, it ends up creating stress reactions in the owners body.

The dog seems like it needs more and more and the owner is finding it difficult to keep up, leaving her/him with a feeling of not being good enough (as a dog owner).

This is the normal pattern i unfortunately see in dog/owner relationships.

First step to teach your dog to just ‘be’ in life is to recognize that you’re doing your best right now.

Accept whatever is happening.

Don’t compare yourself to other dog owners.

Find out what’s important to you in your dog life. What do you enjoy?

The dogs are a part of your life and you’re not living your dog’s life.

For your dog to be more still, and take life more in without demanding your attention, you need to take a step back.

Breathe.

There is a solution and the solution is you.

First. Always.

Your dog is dependent on you. Totally. Everyday.

I love this face with the cigar😂

Mojo always keeps me updated with dog communication as she has a lot of opinions about things in life.

When I brought her home as 11 month old, she was a mess.

I’m not kidding.

First I thought I should have listened to most people who adviced me not to rescue a Red Setter ( they are so stressed and run away and stray..).

Of course I didn’t listen and with my tools and understanding of dogs true nature from ,

I was in for a surprise.

I guess the picture says it all and the past almost 9 years have been a blessing☀️🐾🐾

When a dog walks into our lives, we are forever changed. The love of a dog, no matter what else is going on, is of the unconditional kind ♡.

Hence it makes sense to give back and listen to the dog’s language. This is a process of getting to know yourself also - trusting your own intuition and having clear personal boundaries in your life.

A dog will always change your life or at least how you perceive life. It’s up to you what kind of dog life you want to live - whether it’s a cozy life at home or serving others as a team working together.

It’s up to you to guide your dog in a human (sometimes confusing) world ♡.

One step at the time… Whatever you’re going through, your dog is going through.. one step at the time..

Nature always heals and listening to what you need and what your dog needs ( no matter what others around you say) helps coming back to the present moment.
