The Cat Corner now promoting the Java Whiskers catcafé For more info go to www.javawhiskers.se How nice wouldn't it be to have a downtown cat café in Stockholm.

A wonderful place for cat-less humans and human-less cats to mingle & enjoy each others company. It's mission would also be to raise awareness of the 150,000 homeless cats in Sweden and encourage their adoption from shelters .

Our Story

Paris, London, New York and many other cities all have one thing in common. They have downtown catcafés. But unfortunately not Stockholm. However guess what cat lovers .......thats about to change !

As you may know, The Cat Corner has been promoting the Stockholm catcafé concept since 2017 with the idea to have a relaxing place for cat-less humans and human-less cats to mingle & enjoy each others company. A place where you can enjoy hot/cold drinks, gluten free, lactose free and vegan snacks or delicious cakes. A premium environment thats warm, welcoming and safe for both homeless cats and cat lovers of all ages. It's added mission being to also raise awareness of the 100,000+ homeless cats & kittens in Sweden and to encourage their adoption from shelters across the country.

So after all the work, promotion and lobbying, its with great pride and pleasure to say that such a place is indeed now going to open.

Its called JAVA WHISKERS and will open it’s doors to the public on the 16th February. Located at Surbrunnsgatan 48 in Vasastan, Stockholm; it will offer a limited number of visit times for guests to book, guaranteeing that when they do come space will be reserved for them within the calm and relaxing ‘cat lounge’.
