One of the worst things about having pets is saying goodbye. When that goodbye is to a family pet that's been with you since you were a child, it almost doesn't feel real. They've always been there and you grew up together.
Today our family dog Poppe had to cross the rainbow bridge, and small as he was, he leaves a gigantic emptiness behind. But all the tears and the sorrow is proof of all the love and joy he gave us, and we gave to him.

Happy Earth Day everypawdy! 🌎 Every day, but this day in particular we evaluate what Happy Pooch as a business can do to minimize its ecological footprint:
1) By only offering made-to-order and made-to-measure gear, we minimize waste while making sure every piece of gear is made with intention.
2) Materials are carefully hand-picked to ensure top quality that'll last you years to come. We also do our utmost to source materials as close as possible to our studio. Did you know the webbing we use for collars and harnesses is made here in Sweden? 🤗
3) We've been saving fabric scraps since the very beginning, to be used for a future project, to generate close to no waste at all 🧵 Fabrics are very energy-intensive to produce so we want to make sure every centimetre is used!

Harnesses with your dog's comfort in mind ✍
All HP harnesses have a distinct Y-shaped front with chest straps placed away from the armpits for important reasons:
1) The back strap is short/long enough so that the chest straps fall on top of the ribcage, a few ribs before the ribcage ends. This way, we ensure the chest straps can't slip past the end of the ribcage and put pressure on your dog's delicate soft belly. The chest straps are also far away enough to not chafe the armpits.
2-3) Neck straps start on top of the breast bone and end right behind the neck to ensure free ROM for the shoulder and scapula, while not putting any pressure on the trachea.

A warm fleece fabric in one of my favourite colours, Terracotta 🥰 They also opted for a Fluffy knit raglan with extra hip coverage for warmth, and D-ring attachments on the back (only recommended for small breeds).
