The year's final day is here and with it, 2024 comes to a close. Looking back, it's been quite an eventful year! The rainbow doggosaurus was found at last 🌈, the much loved City and Adventure Sleek gear got a facelift ✨ we had some exciting IRL meet-ups with some of the models 🐶🐶 the fleece colour chart expanded to even more options 🎨 and a new gang of models was added to the pack! 🤝⠀

As for what exciting things next year will bring... I did promise you a surprise didn't I? This is something that I have received questions and requests about pretty much since day one, and after I've been teasing the model team about it for months; we're almost at the finish line. Your prayers, pleas and petitions have been heard. 2025 is the year the sweaters for humans enter the stage 😎⠀

Next year will mark a decade of sewing dog gear and 7 years of Happy Pooch! 🥳⠀

I'm very fortunate and grateful to still be around after all of these years. Ever since day one, I've been on a mission to offer truly unique pieces of dog gear to the world, allowing the customer to have full control of the outcome of each piece in terms of materials, colours and fit. Essentially wanting to be everything that mass-produced brands cannot, which any investor will probably tell you isn't a good business strategy. Ultimately, the goal for many, if not all big brands is infinite growth with a need to keep shareholders happy. With that said I want to reiterate my promise that remains my mantra to this day; Happy Pooch will always focus on small-scale production of custom and made-to-measure gear. I've been told from many directions that I should outsource production to countries with cheap labour costs to save time and increase profits, but that will never be me. ⠀

Through the years I've learned a lot. Things don't always work out the way I had planned, and the fact that this small business is run by no other than myself becomes a bottleneck at times. Despite all of that, I'm humbled every day by the fact there are so many of you out there in the world who love what I do and show it through your orders, reviews and/or kind DMs, likes and comments. Thank you for visiting my little slice of the internet, and I hope the surprise I have planned for Tuesday's post will make you as excited for 2025 as I am 🧵⠀

Every now and then I get to make something extra special for one of your furry friends 🐶 This pupper's human sent in their favourite coat along with some fabric so I could make a duplicate. A warm fleece fabric in one of my favourite colours, Terracotta 🥰 They also opted for a Fluffy knit raglan with extra hip coverage for warmth, and D-ring attachments on the back (only recommended for small breeds).
