🌡️ The temperature rises even in the shade with the windows down or during cloudy days. Always keep this in mind when bringing your dog with you.⁠

⏱️ Just a few minutes is enough for the temperature to get dangerously hot. It’s always better to leave your dog at home or take them with you, as long as you don’t leave them in the car.⁠

💦 Dogs don’t regulate their body temperature like humans through sweating. Signs of overheating in dogs include heavy breathing, drooling, fever, and in severe cases, vomiting and unconsciousness.⁠

📞 Always call the police if you see a dog suffering in a car on a warm day and you can’t contact the owner.⁠

Dehydration can lead to several issues in your pet’s urinary health, such as urinary tract infections, urinary crystals, and kidney stones. Symptoms of dehydration can be subtle, and by the time they appear, your pet may already be significantly affected.

🐱 Common symptoms in cats: Reduced activity, dry gums, decreased skin elasticity, sunken eyes, and panting.

🐶 Common symptoms in dogs: Dry and sticky gums, loss of appetite, depression, increased heart rate, panting, dry nose, and loss of skin elasticity.

To prevent dehydration, it is important to ensure your pet always has access to clean and fresh water. For cats, this could mean placing multiple water bowls around the house or investing in a water fountain, as they often prefer running water. Feeding them wet food can also increase their water intake. For dogs, it's important to carry a portable water bottle on walks and hikes. 🌳

Fleas and ticks are common parasites that can seriously threaten our pets' well-being. Fleas cause intense itching, dermatitis, and can transmit tapeworms. Ticks feast on blood and spread serious diseases like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. 😣 Here are some strategies for flea and tick prevention:

🔹 Regular Preventative Treatments: Use topical solutions, oral medications, or collars. Consult your vet to choose the right option for your pet.

Our Story

Swedencare has been selling ProDen PlaqueOff since 2003. It is a 100% natural oral hygiene product that, according to several clinical trials, reduce plaque accumulation and the formation of tartar. It also improve bad breath in cats and dogs.

It all started in the 1970s when dentist Sune Wikner, by chance, discovered that one of his patients had substantially managed to reduce the formation of tartar and plaque by eating a diet rich in a certain marine algae. In 1999, Sune Wikner together with his colleague Roland Fastberg, came across a dog in Swedish Lapland whose dental health had been positively affected by a pet food which contained the very same marine algae.

As a result of these findings, the company Swedencare was created, and in 2006 patents were obtained in 34 countries, including EU and USA. In 2010, patent was also obtained on the Japanese market. Today ProDen PlaqueOff is sold in almost 50 countries with a rapid increase in sales on many markets. In 2007 SweDenCare was ranked the 25th fastest growing company in Sweden. Swedencare has its headquarter in Malmö, Sweden.
