Over the rainbow bridge... This evening, we had to say goodbye to our grand old lady OKS BENTODA, born 2001, by LM Limaal out of Begonia by Glaz.

Her memory will live on through her beautiful offspring. Bentoda's best daughter, OKS BENTOZA by Girlan-Bey, remains with us.

This weekend, it is time for the Polish National Championships at Janów Podlaski. And this year, a brand new award will be handed out in honour of the one and only GIRLAN-BEY, from the hands of his breeder Michał Bogajewicz. Best of luck to all yearling c**ts competing for this great honour!

“In 2003, the yearling c**t Girlan-Bey, bred by the Niewierz Stud of Mr. and Mrs. Katarzyna and Michal Bogajewicz, changed the course of events at Polish shows. As the first private bred Arabian horse in post-war history of this breed in Poland, he won the class and the Gold Medal at Junior C**ts in the overall ranking at the difficult and prestigious Białka Junior Spring Show. This was the beginning of the abolition of divisions between competitions for private and state-bred horses at Polish shows, and the beginning of a great path not only for Girlan-Bey, but also for the Polish Arabian horse on the international stage - under the joint aegis of state and private breeding together. A year later, in the hands of new owners - the Kristoffersen family from Sweden, Girlan-Bey became European Reserve Champion, and two years later - World Reserve Champion C**t.
To this day, despite his age, Girlan-Bey enjoys great form and brings joy at shows to his successive owners, representing Polish breeding in the Middle East.
This year, on the initiative of Girlan-Bey's breeder, Mr. Michal Bogajewicz, we would like to honor the Best Yearling C**t of Polish National Arabian Horse Show in Janów Podlaski - may he bring similar joy and represent Polish breeding worthily at international arenas in the future.”
